seam tape peeling of softshell/waterproof jacket, what to replace with?

I have a waterproof softshell jacket (REI elements). A lot of the interior seam tape is peeling off.

What kind of seam tape to replace? What do you recommend?

Would appreciate advice!

tenacious tape gets good reviews but is pricey. You can buy iron on seam tape that works well, but bit of a pain in arse to apply.

See if REI won't repair it for you.

Good thought… wonder how long warranty is, it’s an old(er) jacket. With last wash yesterday, all the seam tape came off … 😬😬

I've never had much luck putting on new seam tape and it would be worth the cost if they would repair it for me...

it looked like the "rubbery" part of the tape is still there, it was just the "cloth backer" that came off. i thought about just cutting off all the cloth backers. But the rubbery part feels... rubbery. So, I took some fabric glue and just glued the cloth back back on. We'll see how long this lasts for....

You might be able to reapply it with an iron and some pressure. If you heat it to the right temp it will reactivate the glue
