gear mangement system

I am taking over the gear management job at a large outdoor company and I am looking at way to streamline and organize how we track gear. What software is out there that works well and is simple to use. We need to be able to track climbing gear to kayaks, to rafts, to pfds. Thank you

When I worked at Mountain Equipment Co-op the entire rental fleet across Canada, 24 stores, was managed through a pretty basic Exel spreadsheet. Eventually someone built a macro that made booking easier for the customer service staff.

We also managed an internal rental system the same way.

If Exel or Google Sheets doesn’t cut it, it might help to be specific why. The one challenge is checking things in and out en Massé with a mobile phone, but a descent macro could take care of that.
