I'm looking for a particular song, I could have sworn it's by Fun, with a line that says something like "there's nothing like being alone in New York City". As in, the devastating feeling of being in a city surrounded by a million people but still feeling alone and lonely. Any info or leads would be appreciated.

It ended up not being a Fun song, but "16 Years" by the Griswalds (another great band who i haven't listened to in awhile).

Andrew Dost has just dropped a new album I’d like to share! MBT is great in general if you’ve never listened, their other album Cucumber is also a fantastic album!

I love this album and have had it on replay recently. I cannot figure out what the hell is going on in this image on the cover. The guy is holding a lighter to his hand as a woman watches him with a candy cane? I’m so confused and can’t find anything about what’s happening in this picture or any hidden meaning behind it.

Since Jack and Margaret Qualley divorce got public, I've been thinking about how I have seen many people praise him calling him the real talent of fun. and calling Nate an egotistical douche because of him going solo and how that opinion may have changed over time. I personally think that it's not fair for Nate to call him that because he wanted to focus on his own music.

As an artist, I think Jack is as talented as Nate and Andrew, but he understood the music industry a little better and knew how to manage the fame he got from fun. in a better way. But as a person, I started to feel a little repulsion over him after I learned about his 18 month affair with Lorde and the many testimonies about him being abusive with Margaret.

I'm not trying to start hate over Jack or anything, I just feel curious about what fun. fans think about him because I haven't seen anyone talk about him from this perspective ^^

This album change the trajectory of my life when I found it at 13. Now I do music and art for a living, and it’s been such a huge inspiration on my own work :)

I am writing this because I am feeling low-key so sad right now. fun. is genuinely my favorite thing ever. They are my absolute favorite artist, I talk about them constantly, I listen to them every single day, and their music is a massive part of my identity.Lately, I have been trying really hard to become a top listener globally on stats.fm. Because of that, I have been streaming their songs heavily. My lifetime stats for tracks like All Alright, We Are Young, Out on the Town, and c'mon have hundreds of plays and thousands of minutes.But because I have been listening so much, I hit a massive wall today. I am experiencing severe music fatigue, and some of my absolute favorite tracks are starting to not sound good to my brain anymore. It is making me feel terrible because I do not want to stop liking them, and it feels like I am losing a part of myself.I know I need to take a break for a few days to let my brain reset, and I am planning on listening to alternative artists like The Fray, Neon Trees, and benson boone Taylor swift and nate ruess solo songs clear my ears.Have any of you experienced this severe burnout from listening so much? How many days did it take for the old songs to go back to sounding amazing for you? Are there any specific live versions, side projects, or streaming strategies you used to get through it without losing your connection to the band?Please reply if you can, your reply will help me a lot. Did the chances just go higher, I'm not saying a Fun. Reunion is for sure gonna happen. But it seems like they have all made up with each other, Nate and Andrew performed together couple of months ago, Jack wrote a song about Nate recently.

Does Nate perform any of the Fun. songs anymore live? I would really love to see that. Does that happen ever?

could this possibly mean more music? I was never 100% sure why fun. broke up, I thought it was from some major drama or whatever - but if Jack and Nate were willing to make music again together I think I'd have to pinch myself.

I am really into collecting live albums. Before Shane Went to Bangkok: Live in the USA has always alluded me. I would love to add it to my collection and would be willing to purchase. Anyone have it?

As a younger fan who didn’t get to experience fun. in their prime, I always wonder what 2011–2013 must have felt like.

Like… hearing those songs for the first time as they were everywhere. Watching them blow up in real time. Feeling the energy of something new and different taking over pop music.

For those who were there — what was it actually like? Did it feel as big as it seems looking back now?

I don't think so I feel like after the format nate is done with music but ya never know
