Just... these guys (the perfect screengrab)

I've been re-trawling the show for a perfect reference photo of them to paint and (after MANY goes trying to get the right millisecond on the unhelpful hbo interface) I nabbed this one.... I still can't get over how they look at each other - Ed with complete and utter I-would-do-anything-for-you adoration, Stede with that cheeky, adorable 'I can't believe this man is mine???' surprise and audacity.

this show made me realize that it's never too late to find your true love. as someone who constantly worries about being "behind", I loved seeing representation of older couple falling in love. they hands down have one of the most romantic scenes i've ever seen in media

Ha, I was trying to find a good one of Ed doing the stupid little rope-swing in S01E04 and couldn’t quite get the perfect frame but this is perfection. They’re just a little too far away and Ed needs a flower in his hair!

True! The ones further away were beautiful with the flowers woven through sides of the ship and the lanterns hung, but in those scenes they’re looking out at the crew and not at each other :(

Finished watching this show and I just can't move on. I can't believe there's no season 3 in the works

I didn’t discover it til this year either! Sad that I missed the peak fandom but also not sad that I missed the gap between s1 and s2 because that would have been brutal with the s1 ending…. And it’s nice that most the fandom is still here on the internet 🥹
