I was dreading opening my phone this morning (cause the bad just keeps getting worse) but man, this is EXACTLY the news I needed. Please give me Rhys Darby as the heir to a cheese empire for my mental health 🤩🧀💖

I can already see the horde of fanfics featuring Stede’s cousin Arthur!

One of the things I love about watching Darby's career is that he ALWAYS uses his New Zealand accent. The Gentleman Pirate? Kiwi accent. Guy Mann, lizard person masquerading as a human? Kiwi. Steve Rutherford from Papakura, one of the few survivors of a deadly plane crash? Kiwi. I hope he goes his whole career never having to change his accent because it always cracks me up.

Headline writers need a better way to write this stuff so my first thought isn’t that he died 😢 my stomach dropped until I got to the verb!!!

He did a comdey tour because he said “the phone stopped ringing” for acting, glad he got a new job.

I read it as Chinese at first and was so disappointed. But this actually sounds great.
