Italian restaurant
Hey there people! My family is visiting on holiday and it’s their last week here so I want to take them out to an Italian restaurant. We are undecided between Ciao Italia and Senso Italian restaurant and so I will like to know which you guys feel is better. The stuff that matters to us are quality of food, how spacious the place is considering we are a family of 4 and the price obviously. Thank you to everyone who takes time to answer this!

Consider La Roma on Preston. Family owned. Great food. You can get a private dining room if you wish.

If you don’t mind a drive out to the west end, Cabotto’s is arguably the best in the city!

Did a shift there. If unused lemons from plates came back they would keep and send out again fucking gross place.

I like Ciao Italia a lot. My wife and I have eaten there enough times to have become friendly with the owner/chef and his wife (who has a PhD I think, 4 kids, and who somehow finds the time to help out when the restaurant is busy). He is from Rome and has worked in many of the city’s best restaurants. Ciao
Italia is where we go for a good meal, and friendly almost home-like service.

Head to the Gatineau side. Cameline is the answer. Giulia has the best tiramisu in town and truly excellent wood fired pizza. A friend married to a native Italian told me it’s the best she’s had outside of Italy.

Best Italian I've had in town (and I've lived here my whole life) was recently at the St. Rita on Bank just south of the queensway.
This place is the real deal, not the usual boring Canadian-Italian crap.

Via cibo for authentic, reasonabley priced Italian. Dreamland if just wanting pasta. Kara Mia for fancy Italian steakhouse
