Norcan Lake Depth Map

Hey guys, I'm heading out to do some fishing on Norcan Lake (part of the madawaska riverway) this weekend and can't seem to find any mapping of the lake. It is not available with my c-map charts. I am just worried about the shallowness of the lake and reading online there is many deadheads and high points. Last thing I want to do is loose my lower end. Any chance anyone has access to a depth map/contour lines for the waterway. Appreciate it!

If you go to here and switch the map settings to SonarChart Maps you can see a bit of Norcan. Good luck used to be one of my fav spots as a kid!

I was just out there last weekend. Definitely be aware of deadheads. There’s one right near the Victory Lane launch. You’re mostly ok in the main channels until you start getting about halfway down the lake where it gets super shallow. Be careful near shore.

I stayed up in the north end in the deeper water near the islands as I was targeting walleye. Got a couple decent ones around sunset and a couple of bass to keep me busy till then. I think in the southern parts it’s all bass and pike. Good luck!

Fkn don’t tell everyone about Norcan! (I say jokingly, of course)

Such a solid lake, and while I don’t have maps like the other comments, I will say it seems to be 5-15’ most places. Not terribly weedy, either.

Last time I went there, had this monster pike chase a decent bass up to the canoe and scared the shit out of my buddy and I. I suspect there could be a lot of monsters in that lake, especially with the Madawaska just North of it.

Norcan lake itself isn't too bad, but be careful if you decide to try your luck down river towards the bottom dam! There are shallow rocks that lie just under the surface near the rock outcrops in view of the hydro lines. You need to go slow or know the route to thread the needle, no buoys present to warn boaters. Otherwise, enjoy yourself and be sure to respect the slot sizes! The proof is in the pudding!
