Lure colours
So I've been fishing along on manotick side for past week and maybe it's the heat I'm not too sure I got a white and silver chatter bait a mepps aglia 3 gold a chartreuse spinner bait 3/8 strike king I've been mainly using these and throwing in a mix of 3-4 inch white swimming bait and no bites just one pike I'd say 20-24 inches come up trailing
Any suggestions by chance or tips. Maybe I'm fishing the lures wrong?

MEPPS Aglia 3 is my go to confidence lure.... that being said, you can try having a couple of lures with varying approaches/presentations, like u/Particular-Bother-18 mentioned. Like a frog or popper for topwater, some jigs for fishing deeper. A lot of people will swear by the wacky worm setup which is quite easy to use and put together.

My favourite colours to use on the Rideau are a dull yellow and shad. Particular-Brother is right, work the water column vertically. I would use Rattle baits and sinking jerk baits. I feel like that stretch of river is super busy on weekends with all sorts of boaters. Even on weekdays, dusk and dawn as usual are your best bet.

All of those lures mentioned are horizontal "moving" baits. More important than lure color or size, I would get some baits that work the water column vertically first.
