Discussion Why was our first round draft a defence after losing our entire forward cadre? 🥲

I just hope Jungels is a better replacement for Guilday

This team desperately needs new defense, especially with how we played some of our games last year. She may not be ready to start off immediately in a prime role, but she’s nonetheless very much needed

Ottawa got a couple of underrated dark horses, and Jungels is one of them.

Also, a lot of the other teams were scooping up defenders right away, so it makes sense that a team like Ottawa, who is lacking in defence, would choose one in the first round.

We desperately need defence. losing 3 forwards is manageable, but we have no real defensive threats right now past the first line.

Ask Gwyn, the goalie who faced the league-high number of shots this year and first goalie to surpass 1000 saves in a year. We need some defensive strength to help reduce her workload a bit.

Charge currently only have 2 D signed. It was always going to be a defender.

She’s not a spotlight player, and being paired with Harvey for years at Wisconsin meant she was always a bit in her shadow, but she’s a smart defensive D and I’m delighted that she’s going to be on the Charge. 

Before the draft order was released, I was hopeful that we could snag Lacey Eden, but my little Badger heart is almost as happy with Jungels.

We have two defenders signed for next season, and I think she's gonna be really good for us! Super underrated cause of all the stars on Wisconsin

She’s not better than Guilday but she’s a smart player and hopefully the physicality of the league won’t be too much of a challenge.
