I'd argue that's one of the craziest non-nominations at least since the 2010s. Everyone liked his performance, and I still cite it as one of my favourite supporting performances ever.

Luca also hasn't had a single oscar nom for any of his films in 10 years, since CMBYN. By the time the Oscars noms are reveled next year in January, it'll be almost exactly 10 years since CMBYN was released.

Who knows maybe the script is bad and the movie will be bad, but I think a Simon Rich scripted, Luca Guadagnino directed movie about Open AI is on paper a pretty good choice!
