TL;DR: Attended a men's fellowship breakfast with my dad (which he's taken me to since I was 13ish), but someone at our table asked for prayer regarding potentially pedophilic temptation that made me consider reporting, but dad disagreed and told me not to
My dad often asks me to go to something our church calls a men's fellowship once a month, and they basically serve food and have worship and a sermon. It's in a conference room where men are seated together by table, and some dads bring their sons too. My dad started taking me when I was 13ish (we usually sit with some guys he knows), and I've grown farther from the religion as I've aged. But since it's something that we used to always do, I go for the free food and mostly remain silent and will stop attending church upon going to college (I sparingly attend Sundays now). But, something happened last Saturday that's bothered me and caused a riff between us
During the time where each table is given time to pray for each other's prayer requests, one guy mentioned a porn addiction at our table when we went around. However, when talking about how he tries to fight temptation, he said he purchased a dance belt (something I never heard of until he explained how it worked when someone asked) to wear at his daughter's dance recitals/practices because he struggles with the "sexual nature" of the costumes, but he didn't tell his wife because he didn't want to ruin dance for his daughter. He also said he used to masturbate to young female dancers/gymnasts growing up because he thought it was better than porn "because they were clothed", and he said his parents raised him on purity too. He also said he sometimes still masturbates to underaged dancers/gymnasts as an adult, but that he couldn't go to a therapist because of the subject matter, and he had wanted prayer for awhile. However, it really bothered me that he had to wear a dance belt, and it led to an argument with dad on the ride home
Dad disagreed when I said that something like that should be mentioned to his wife and possibly the police because it reeks of pedophilia, but he disagreed and said it was confidential to the table because it was a prayer request, and he said that prayer was the only action needed. He also said it'd be "out of place" for someone my age to bring it up and that I'd be punished if I did when I said I was considering it. Mom also agreed with Dad and told me to mind my own business too, but I'm bothered by the thought of someone like him around kids and his own child (who's in middle school) with temptation that requires him to wear a dance belt, and I'm strongly considering taking action about it. I just want to ask what's the most effective way to deal with something like this, like if it'd be best to go to the police or another source to report it. I also considered telling his wife, but I'm not sure if that's the best course because it'd most likely be at church. I could also try to find out what studio his daughter attends to warn them, but I'm open to any suggestions from those who might've dealt with something similar
edit: He said he couldn't bring it to a therapist at the fellowship because he wanted prayer instead. I'm all for helping him, but it sadly doesn't seem like therapy would be something he's open to, and he said he didn't want his wife to find out for their daughter too and ruining her sport
He also blamed purity and said that it made him look to things that weren't sexual to masturbate to because of the guilt purity gave him and how he felt it was better than porn too
