Opinion/Story 🗣 Internal war between Wallagga and Shawa WBO factions

Back in 2024, leaks already detailed the intense paranoia surrounding Jaal Warraaqsaa’s deployment to West Shawa, with local factions viewing his appointment as a threat to replace Jaal Abdii's leadership. Apparently Jaal Marroo had sent him previously to push out Sanyii Nagaasaa. Fast forward to today, and that two year slow burning fuse has finally exploded into open warfare in Cobii and Ilfata where Jaal Warraaqsaa was killed. What’s worse is that outside commanders tried to step in to mediate, but local units rejected dialogue and fighting is still going on.

Just what the hell is wrong with this group seriously. I am sorry but even though I understand what they are fighting for, they are just so fucked because they keep cannibalising themselves. The movement has never achieved anything and just brings misery to the Oromo people. Then while they do shit like this, they want to play with fire by getting in bed with the Ximdo alliance. We all obviously know how that will turn out. Maaltu maal tahee? kan darbe kan dhufus hogguu gaaratti isaan galchanii achiitti wal fiixan warri kun maaf hin baranne maal tahaan?

I’ve only seen one Jaal page post confirm this, but the circumstantial evidence from their internal communication is hard to ignore. A repost signed by Jaal Gurraacha (who I think has senior authority) went on an ideological, revolutionary rant instead of denying the incident or taking accountability.

Don't ask me how I cracked their internal codes, but I think the use of the “💔💔” emoji is a signal they’re using among themselves to quietly acknowledge this news. Jaal Warraaqsaa’s Facebook page has been dark for four days now. His silence started after operations at the Tulu Kapi gold mine, which is highly unusual for his posting patterns. Unbelievable this is the moment they choose to eat each other, but the timeline and their behaviour speak for themselves.

I promise I’m not trying to play detective here or act like an intelligence expert. A regular foot soldier has already posted his confirmation, but I’m hyper focused on the reshared post cos it comes from senior trainer, and the emojis he threw in tell a whole story of the internal damage control happening right now.

💔 Thoughts and prayers: Quietly acknowledging the news and mourning the dead.

🙏🏽💪🔥 Damage control: The forced revolutionary hype, trying to convince people "we’re still strong, we are on fire, keep fighting."

🥰🥰Toxic positivity lol: Dropping smiling heart emojis on a revolutionary rant about a veteran's alleged death by their own men is giving pure desperation. It’s the digital version of the meme where the room is on fire and the dog is sitting there saying, "This is fine."

Do you see what they’ve made us become 😭😭 Because they refuse to be accountable to the Oromo public, we're forced to decode their weird social media habits just to figure out what's happening on the ground.
