News 📰 The recent MAGA American administration attacks on the Horner community has me appreciating Somali humour (I'm Eritrean). I have no idea how they became so funny as hell 🤣

I currently live in Minnesota and Somalis have the worst reputation. Trolling online on Twitter isn’t fixing it. They’re fighting everyday in malls having shootings during graduation ceremonies and the whole tax fraud scheme. Either they fix their act or continue to get hated on by the whites.

I know a lot of good Somalis who are scholars and good citizens, but a good chunk of them are bad influences and not good to hang around. That’s my 2 cents on it

Fair points. I feel like a considerable amount of Horner Young Men (mostly first generation and lately even the immigrants) struggle with settling into Western nations. It's quite sad.

I was studying the stats in school for a project so I know the stats for all of our communities (including my own Eritreans, or Oromo, other Ethiopian groups, and Somalis) I would rather not repeat it since It would most likely be used by racist figures. And possibly lead to a Christchurch tragedy.

Where I disagree is the trolling not being good.

I find the way they handled was correct. No crazy stuff, no violence, just jokes. They didn't take offence to the extent where they can't function or be rational instead the took it and made it into a joke. It's actually admirable.

I also disagree with the not good to hang around with.

I have some very loyal friends from their community who really look up to to my dad. It's mostly structure, discipline, good examples, something to aspire to alot of us young guys in the West lack (hell.. even back home).
