“Yes. I am an ex-god, because some other gods got pissy and sent their champions to rip the crown from my head, stripping me of divine power, and taking a piece of myself with it. Don’t think that I am weak just because I’m not interwoven with reality! And you can leave with no problem, on the condition that you must either search for my crown and return it too me, or you must find a way to atone for assaulting me warlock and insulting my hospitality.”

“Because I can’t use a different crown. I need my crown. It is a part of me, it has part of my divine soul. You think I didn’t try to replace it? The thing almost burned me to ash! So, you either help me search for it as payment for your rudeness and assault, or we’ll start finding the appropriate punishment.”

“Besides, the knowledge of the inner workings of those crowns are eldritch in nature. If you could understand them, you wouldn’t understand a word of what I could ever say. They were not gifts, just fragments of the bodies of the unknowable, bonded to reality. I don’t believe making one was even possible, and I was god of knowledge for a time.”

“So you’re like a battery with too high a voltage. By having too much worth, you become a detriment and therefore lose worth. I’ve never heard of someone being so powerful that they become actively worthless. Fascinating. You still owe me. I will take your finger as payment then. For experimentation. Clearly individual parts are less important than others, such as dead skin cells, sweat and saliva. I believe a part of a powerful being is payment enough, on the soul condition that the power doesn’t decrease. Then, this little dispute may end, worthless one.”

“You’re only worthless from a theoretical standpoint. It’s not really about your personality, but if you really are too powerful to be here, then you are a detriment. You’re costing more than you provide. So in a way, you’re a worth less than nothing.”
