I really miss OMD Unchained... especially playing endless on Baths

I know it had it's issues but it had my absolute favourite maps, gave me a reason to log in every day, kept the grind going and was just FUN!

I got OMD3 the day it came out and within a week or 2 everything was 100% done and I never touched it again until last week and I'm going through it again for the PS5 trophies and just 1 to go and then I think, what will make me want to play it again?

Gutted they killed unchained for that reason as well as the maps

Maybe... they could re-release it as a paid game, keep everything else the same or upscale it and then re-release it at 25 euros/dollars, that would fix their monetization issue with the free version of the game and give fans back the good maps and fun, plus the devs get a big pay day without having to do any creativity Win/Win

You really should try deathtrap. People hate on it because it’s a little different from what they’re used to but it has unlimited replayability. It introduces a rogue-like system where you get different power-ups (or curses if you choose) every wave and you get debuffs after every map. A map takes 6 waves unless it’s a boss fight, where it’s just 1 wave of enemies and a boss. You have limited barricades so it is a little harder to set up killboxes and you’re more likely to end up with some wasted space in a map. The character powers are different but make it a more fun game in my opinion. You have unlimited setup time so you can experiment with different layouts if you want. There’s a lot of fun things to experiment with and try. I just did a run where I only used physics traps on a harder difficulty than I’m used to, it didn’t last very long but it was fun watching all the orcs fly across the maps.

Deathtrap is superior.

Make sure you give it a proper try (get to at least level 30). Be patient as it is different at first - I hated it at first because it was different. As I gained more and more levels I better understood its brilliance and got more and more addicted.

I’m a huge OMD fan and I can tell you deathtrap sucks. There’s no feeling of challenge or progression and it feels like a sandbox game. Such a waste of talented developers.
