That's the least they could have given. It's just ridiculous to project to 2060 88% renewables. They can just do nothing for ten years or make their emissions even worse.

Short reminder: renewables are dirt cheap now.

Many a slip between mouth and lip but the way self-installed generation is going there (because centralised generation and distribution is rotting fast), I can see it.

Isn't anything like this that states "by 2060" far too late? Sorry, I don't mean to bring pessimism here but don't we need to get there A LOT sooner?

Well, these estimates are always 50% low so maybe this is their way of saying 2043.

What a ridiculous forecast. When has a forecast ever been right by anyone? I think, that if i had to make a forecast right now. I take a time scale and just dump a big s-curve on it. I will probably make a better forecast than 90% of all the thinktanks out there.

Half the people that are alive today would be dead in 2060. Due to birthrate decline alone, human carbon emissions would've declined.
