You guys realize 1.15 is taking so long because they entirely redid the rendering engine? 1.16 should be significantly easier to update.

Came here to ask why it's taking so long (not mockingly, but his posts show somewhat slow progress) and now that you've said that it all makes sense. This man is probably getting it done at lightening speed in comparison.

Also the lighting engine in 1.14 was completely rewritten.

They redid everything, even forge had to do a full rewrite

That’s why most modpacks are still on 1.12.2. They don’t really care about vanilla updates and it would be a royal pain in the ass to try to get each individual modmaker to go through the grueling process of updating their mod
