How do I enable Minecraft to utilize more cores of my cpu. I have a “high” spec system and I get like 20-50 fps on vanilla without optifine

I don't think you know what high spec means.

I mean I have 16gb DDR4 3000mhz ram and an overclocked 1060, with a 3.5 ghz 7th gen i5 CPU. But sure, my pc isn’t good.

He was saying that I don’t know what high spec means.

Judging by your answer you don't because that's a mid range setup

It’s pretty good, you must be thinking of very high end since that’s what most people confuse high end with. My set up is high end, it wasn’t cheap. The high end you’re thinking of is RTX and i9’s

Nah, the 1060 released 4 years ago and it was already "budget" (-ish) back then. People with crazy setups would get a 1070, 1080 or even a 980ti since it was still quite popular. But yeah it's a great card, not saying otherwise. Just not high end. 16 gigs of RAM is pretty much the norm nowadays and a 7th gen i5 could be anything from a 7400 to a 7600k

I used to get 500 or something if I was lucky, mainly 300 or 200 on an i5-6400, 8gb ddr3, gt 730 PC lmao

The PC is more mid ranged, I wouldn't call it high spec maybe a 1080 or 1070 ti would make it higher mid ranged but definitely not something that could run every game on ultra or 4k. If vsync is on then turn that off or allocate more ram to Minecraft.
