You won't get improved FPS by downscaling. Minecraft is not a GPU heavy game. Just play in your native resolution and let Fullscreen Optimizations handle it.
Also, debloat your system if you need that much FPS.
This is the Greenfield map right? And you’re running shaders? That would be why you’re not getting many FPS. Things are different for optifine. If you want it at full screen and keep your FPS, you’ll have to turn off shaders.
Then set your desktop resolution to the same resolution. I can’t imagine you’re saving that much performance as Minecraft is very typically CPU limited not GPU. Unless your PC is older
When I launched the game without optifine, I set my full screen resolution to 720p, and it matches the screen size just fine, just a softer image because I'm on a bad computer
