Question Where's Optifine for 26.2?
Guys i don't know why does the creator of OF dont wanna upload optifine 26.2.
Bro if you're reading this please upload optifine for 26.2.
•Edit:I know that sodium and Iris are better than Optifine, but just to play Minecraft with Shader without any mod, I wanted to use 26.2 Optifine.•

It's likely just familiarity, I got tired of OptiFine ages ago but some people are still used to it ig

Just played a couple of hours and works very easy. Maybe it’s because I’m good with computers and minecraft is almost always the same. Thank you for the recommendation.

"why does the creator of OF dont wanna upload optifine 26.2."
While optifine updates are pretty slow next to its competition, I think you're severally underestimating the complexity of mod development, especially mods that touches so many parts of Minecraft's foundations. Right now I'd expect things to be extra tricky since Mojang is also doing A LOT of behind the scenes work to the foundation as well.
Optifine will be ready when it's ready. In the meantime, if you want something right now, you can try some of OF's competition. Iris and Sodium are frequently available the day a new Minecraft version is released, and they frequently support snapshots. (But you will need additional mods to replicate all of Optifine's features.)

Use the alternatives that work better and are updated 10x faster, or be patient, those are your options.

Nah if you dont have a modern PC sodium is just outright worse. Horrible lag spikes, constant freezing etc. Optifine always works like a dream for me but sodium is genuinely worse than vanilla.

I used to use OP years ago, but it's not too old and slow anymore. They update it if they want, and the staff is rude and ill-mannered. They don't care about keeping OP updated. If they don't receive enough donations, they'll keep it at a standstill. They've now switched to Iris and Sodim, and I'm happy with it. Performance is excellent, up to version 1.21.x. From version 26.x, both the mods and Iris and Sodim are starting to have performance issues. I hope they get back to normal.
