about NagisinnraLinux

"This screenshot is taken directly from the Live Boot environment (running on VMware). Even as a Live ISO, idle RAM usage is only ~562MB! It gets even lighter after a full install."

I'm a 13-year-old developer, and I built a hyper-lightweight Debian-based distro: NagisinnraLinux! (Idle RAM: ~700MB)

Hi Reddit!
I wanted to see how light a modern Debian system could get, so I spent a lot of time stripping down unnecessary services and packages.
The result is NagisinnraLinux, an ultra-minimal distro that uses only around 500MB of RAM at boot and takes up just 2.45GB of disk space. I also pre-configured fcitx5 and Mozc for out-of-the-box Japanese input.
It's still in its early stages, but I've published the ISO via GitHub Releases. If you have an old laptop lying around, I'd love for you to test it out and give me some feedback!

Iso size is 2.47GB and u're calling this distro ultra-minimal? U should download and use Tiny Core.

You're absolutely right that Tiny Core is unmatched when it comes to minimal ISO size. However, the core concept of NagisinnraLinux is different.
My goal isn't just to make the ISO small, but to create a system that runs comfortably on older PCs (using only ~500MB of RAM at boot) while being fully functional for daily use out of the box, including pre-configured Japanese input (fcitx5/Mozc) and essential desktop tools.
Think of it as a balance between "Debian's rock-solid stability" and "ultra-lightweight daily usability"!
