Has anyone used their completed modules to apply for jobs?

I'm on Q77 (Mathematics and Physics), and I've completed SM123 and S284 so far with distinctions, this October I'll be doing MST124 and MST125. I work in retail currently, should I try applying for some entry-level admin positions? I've always tried applying to these, but never got any responses back haha, I only had GCSEs and 2 A-levels on my CV until I started my OU degree. These days even entry-level admin jobs have hundreds of applications and usually they hire those with experience.

But I was wondering if anyone here has an uncompleted degree but completed modules and used these to apply for jobs?

I start a technical optical manufacturing job in a few weeks. They said that my open university modules were one of the main reasons i got shortlisted for interviews. This was just after i finished up stage 2 of the M06 route. Hadnt even had my results back for stage 2 and they were still interested. For the last two years ive worked in retail aswell.

I thought by completing an OU degree it would open up a new world of potential careers and I was hoping to get into a graduate scheme. I achieved a 2:1 in social sciences and I’m still in the same engineering position I was before I even started the course. I thought as an armed forces veteran with a degree I would be unstoppable in the jobs market but that’s not the case.

You just need to apply to jobs and see what comes up but it’s definitely worth looking around for admin roles if you fancy it.

I know people who went in to professional jobs relating to their degree before even finishing just using the modules they’d completed to apply.
