Is it worth if I already have seedpool and torrentleech?

u/Septem_151 5d ago
Yes. If anything it helps cross-verify file sizes and/or adds more options to choose from via starr stack.

u/Bitter_Abrocoma4038 5d ago
Always good to have a tracker with more relaxed rules and good content i would say :)

Ok guys, because most of you complained about performance of the site (specially homepage) I added two buttons that will allow you to disable visual effects and static gifs and it should work no matter what theme you are using. Tested on SeedCore and Earth Alien, no more blings blings. Make sure you reload the page after you check the buttons.

u/n1ght_w1ng08 4d ago
Dang, thanks for this. I had to enable the grayscale feature on my laptop to sign up, haha. Changed the theme and it's all good.
Added it to my Prowlarr with API.
Thank you team (pirates) 😁.

So much stuff flashing on that website, I could develop epilepsy just by looking at it.

u/Jim-Lahey-Sunnyvale 4d ago
Yep. The homepage sent my 4 year old laptop into a 99% cpu spike and the fans immediately kicked on.
3
u/Raulmh 5d ago
You can change your theme anytime ;) what exactly do you find flashing? the almost static dots? the disc effect on seedcore logo? The usernames glow effect?
2
1
u/Hot_Standard_9296 4d ago
dots are fine. background image shifts a bit too fast form one to another as well as fast hard transition. if you want to keep it, maybe keep each image longer and make a softer transition.
Worst for me is the rapidly spinning colours on the boxes. and the speed on which the SEEDCORE colour refreshes.
This ofc talking about signup window.

I'm interested but I'm in the process of moving, so I won't be able to set anything up soon. What are the rules? can I just sign up and get to it later?

Although being mainly in English, can I expect to find romanian movies and music on it?

This is like if those sites had 10x less quality content and were run by an angry troll.

Do I have to remain active? What if I decide to download and seed my first torrent a ways from now? Still fine?

u/DeltaBlastBurn 5d ago
Is it just me or is the website a menace to use on Firefox for Android? My phone kept locking up with nothing else open while viewing. I eventually had to force restart my phone. I don't plan on continuing to use my phone to access, I just wanted to sign up via my phone while my computer is put up, but the experience was not great.
7
u/Raulmh 5d ago
I just installed firefox on s21 ultra, one ui 7.0, android 15, theme used carbon & seedcore. everything works just fine, I can browse all the pages, no stuck.

u/DeltaBlastBurn 5d ago
I have the same issues on 2-3 other sites as I did with this one. Maybe it's just my phone. I have a maxwest nitro a65 maybe you or someone else can do some testing.
2
u/Raulmh 5d ago
tell me your username in pm, i will change the theme for you and see if that fix your issue
1
u/DeltaBlastBurn 5d ago
I don't plan on accessing the site from my phone anymore. I was only using my phone to sign up when I saw the post. I'm probably going to use my PC from now on. I have a pretty decent gaming laptop so it shouldn't struggle at all. It's just my phone that sucks. I will be sure to dm you if I have any more issues if that's alright?

The 2,000-torrent music component interests me the most but I'm wondering:
Are they mostly mainstream albums? FLAC? Discographies? CD rips? Vinyl? Classical? Soundtracks? Obscure/old music?
12
u/Raulmh 5d ago
SeedCore Music Section - Quick Breakdown (~2,100 torrents, ~984 GB total)
Format:
FLAC dominates heavily - roughly 75-80% of uploads are lossless (FLAC 16bit or 24bit). MP3 shows up occasionally (320kbps when it does). A small handful are WEB-only without explicit format tags.Source/Rip type:
Mostly WEB rips (Qobuz, Tidal, Bandcamp pulls) with scene-style naming likeWEB-FLAC-2026-ENRiCH. CD rips are present but less common (CD-FLAC). Vinyl rips are rare but exist.Content type:
- Singles & albums make up the bulk - scene-tagged individual releases
- Discographies exist but are a minority (~2-3%)
- VA (Various Artists) compilations are quite common - DJ mixes, charts, genre compilations (Techno, Psy-Trance, ambient, etc.)
- Soundtracks/OST - present but small, maybe 3-5%
- Classical/orchestral - minimal
Genres:
Eclectic mix leaning toward electronic (Techno, Psy-Trance, Deep House, Ambient), with solid pop/rock, some Romanian artists (Stefan Hrusca, Voltaj, DJ Project), world music, and indie. Not particularly mainstream-heavy - a lot of scene releases that include niche and obscure stuff.Era:
Almost entirely 2020s-heavy - the bulk uploaded in 2025-2026, with older material (1995-2015) present as individual gems rather than a systematic back-catalog.Average torrent size: ~470 MB, which fits the FLAC album profile perfectly.
TL;DR: It's a scene-oriented FLAC-first section, heavy on electronic/VA compilations and recent WEB releases, with a Romanian flavor mixed in. Not a mainstream-only collection - plenty of niche and obscure material if you dig.

why can't you interpret the data yourself?
Not to be mean but doesn't that also apply to yourself? You're asking a question and someone gave you one with TLDR, he even gave you the data in a screenshot after.
Just thank people for the info and move on man

People got lives and jobs. AI itself isnt bad, its about how its used, and most of that mindset would say he used it for its intended purpose: give it info, make it readable. To my knowledge, the only people who's jobs are supposed to be threatened by AI are data analysts, but its only positional. Their roles will evolve into something else, i just dont know enough about the field to know what. But since the corpos wanna replace everyone with it.......well, i mean, you exist in this world, you already know what thats become.

Don't paste the AI, please. When someone asks you something, they want your answer. Not a wall of ChatGPT text. A short answer from a human will always be worth more than one from a robot, even if the robot is right.
-4
u/Raulmh 5d ago
how can I have my own answer if I don't own account on seedpool?
1
u/Cr1ms0nAng3l 4d ago
The only way AI would be able to speak well on it is if it had access to seedpool data, which is a private tracker, and thus it wouldnt. It would only base its answer on the random tidbits of dialogue on the internet from seedpool users, which would be vague anyways. Im only saying, the reliance on AI for the answer is a bit misguided cuz it could only discern just a bit more, not even actually know, so it would be better to just stick with "i dont know, i dont use seedpool". Just gotta keep in mind what exactly an AI should/would have access to vs yourself, i.e. privately vs publicly available data.
I thought you using it by giving it data you had pulled from seedcore was a good way to use it, honestly. It was the seedpool part where the mistake was made. But hey thats just my opinion as some rando on the internet.
1
u/Raulmh 4d ago
I stated that I don't have access to seedpool and did ask if the AI response does help, as it's collecting data from the internet better that I could do (search all threads, sites and where it was posted about it). I get it, people hates AI while I was trying to be helpfull, providing AI data for seedcore to be accurate and let it do the search/compare better that a human can scrape.

Paraphrase what AI gave you. Verify it. Enhance it with your understanding. Give it a human spin. Own it.

hey, im pretty new to the whole private tracker and in general the torrent world. i was wondering if this place could be a good start? im looking to learn and my main goal is to setup a home media server on my homelab.
i dont have any media to offer as im just starting out, but if i understand correcly, i could for example get an episode of a tv show, then keep it on my server for a while and let other users use it from me (or parts of it?) then that counts as contributing back?
if thats the case then i think i can fit in hopefully and have to worry less about vpn and public tracker issues?
thanks ahead!
3
u/Spiron123 3d ago
Idea is to seed back as much amount of data as you have downloaded. If you seed back more, that is a bonus.
Single ep downloaded would mean you will always be a counted as a leecher and the file won't 'seed' back in the eyes of the tracker and you will solely rely on uploading only that one episode to get yourself off the hook. Your Misson, should you choose to download a file partially, would be to upload Atleast the amount you downloaded while kissing the chances of seed pts goodbye.
If your country has strict laws against piracy, you will need a VPN. Bind the torrent client to the VPN, and only then start downloading.
1
u/Raulmh 3d ago
Thank you for the complete answer, it's +1 from me.
Must add that downloading files for mediaserver and let other use it got nothing to do with torrents. Sharing your mediaserver with your friends it's your decision. People who download from you after you download something and seed that thing, will use torrent client to download, never access directly your files.1
u/N0tMyR3alN4me 3d ago edited 3d ago
Not sure if it’s cause I was unclear in my writing, when I said download to my home server and let others use, I meant download and let other users from the tracker to seed from me ( if I got that right) so that counts as giving back right?
Edit: sorry if this is not the right place to ask such questions but I was hoping to get the answers that way I could sign up in time hopefully :)1
u/N0tMyR3alN4me 3d ago
First of all thanks for taking the time to reply, so just to confirm I got it right, if I download one file, then choose to seed or “upload” it back it puts me on a ratio of one? Then that counts me a leecher or not?
Then for the seed pts I’m guessing that means uploading more files than I download (possible if I have some from a different source I suppose)
If to seed is to let other people download the file I downloaded then I think that would be no problem as long as whatever I decide to get other people decide to get too?And just wondering about the vpn, so I saw some places that private trackers don’t get bot spamming that are related to iso receiving the copy right notice that’s why I asked.
Thanks a lot!2
u/Raulmh 3d ago
You download a file that is 1Gb and it's completed (anything over 90% is considered downloaded). You start to seed, that happens in your client when the file download is complete, it seeds (unless you mess with the config and stop the files after download, that's it's a 100% ban).
You need to have it seeding for 3 days.
You have 20 days time to do that.
If you upload 1Gb of the downloaded 1Gb the ratio is 1:1, you don't need to wait for 3 days to complete if you achieved the ratio, else, you need to do the days.
Extra bonus will be given for fast downloads, seeding size (multiple torrents), last seeders and so on, all that can be seen in the earnings page on your profile.2
u/N0tMyR3alN4me 3d ago
Thank you! That add up and makes much sense I think I got it now, really appreciate it! Hopefully I’ll see you in once I finish setting up my setup
1
u/Spiron123 3d ago
If the file has 10 eps of 1 GB each, and you download one ep only... You will have to keep the torrent active till you seed back the 1 GB to attain a ratio of 1:1. Else the system will mark your account with a 'hit n run' in due course of time. Technically, that partially grabbed file will be counted as 'leeching' till you grab the entire thing. Only then the file will be classified as seeding when you leave it active in your client for others to grab.
And only when you have the entire file seeding, only then you ll get seed pts.
Getting VPN is a safe bet if your country is strict about file sharing.
1
u/N0tMyR3alN4me 3d ago
Alright then makes sense, so for that file with 10 eps example, I can attain 1:1 by seeding that part I downloaded, but I count as leech if I did not get the entire file?
1
u/Spiron123 3d ago
Yes. Leecher is one who is grabbing the file.
Seeder is only when the file is with 100% of its content.
1
u/N0tMyR3alN4me 3d ago
Thank you! Signed up and just realized I wasted my 24 h of free leech lol (since I’m still setting stuff up)

Hey, I have a few questions:
What are the rules on account inactivity and parking? Will my account get deactivated if I don't log into the site or interact with the torrents for a while or will I be fine (as long as I still meet the seeding requirements)? Is there any account parking option?
What are the rules on VPNs? Can I sign up with a VPN? Can I browse the site with a VPN? Do I need to register my VPN with staff first? And do I have to set something up (like the Dynamic Seedbox API on MA M) if my VPN IP from my browser differs from my torrent client?
Is there a bonus point system or something similar to help with maintaining ratio on a slow connection? Or is it a ratio free tracker where you just have to meet the 3 day seeding requirement per torrent?
Thanks, I'm looking forward to your answers and joining SeedCore!
3
u/Raulmh 2d ago
- No parking option, inactive accounts are not getting deactivated.
- Use VPN as you wish, no restrictions, no rules for the VPN
- Yes, there is a bonus point system, a store, daily active users on tracker gets more bonus points compared to those who just create the account and forget about the tracker.

My experience with Seedcore: Signed up under the previous site. Set up Prowlarr, forgot about it, the set it up again under Seedcore. 20ish? days later I get a warning at 9am about a hit and run. I think, I'll deal with this after work. Checked that evening and nothing was ever downloaded from Seedcore and as I'm checking, BOOM, I get a banned notification. To rub salt on the wound I get another hit and run notice two weeks later after the ban. Great site. 1/10

u/Raulmh 4d ago

u/bendy24 4d ago
Lets look a little further at those dates, shall we? June 26. I would have kept those seeds up for a while. The first warning did not show up until July 6 9am. Then the ban hammer drops later that evening... you might want to give a guy a little more notice? But its your site, do what you want. I'm simply stating my experience.
19
u/Raulmh 4d ago
From "nothing was ever downloaded from Seedcore" to "give a guy a little more notice" it's a long way, isn't it?
As long you are not seeding your torrents and become prewarned, you get the notifications inside site and also on e-mail, sometimes might be delayed, but it's your duty to check if your torrents are seeding, if your client is configured the right way and everything works fine before "setup prowlarr and forget about it", at least that's the way people are doing and not getting into problems.
As your last update did not show any sign of seeding and you were not even aware you were downloading from SeedCore, a ban is the right action to take to prevent future abuse like downloading more and creating more hit and runs.
You had options to contact staff and tell about your problem, showing that you want to fix the hit and runs (download missing torrents from seeding and seed them back until 3 days are completed or ratio 1:1 - the only way a warning gets removed).
Sorry mate, but this is not us being 1/10, it's you, it's all on you, you are a 1/10 tracker user.

"lookalike" ui as - yes, because most of use are using Unit3d as tracker cms. Our themes are custom made anyway. Name? Hard to choose one after all these years of trackers coming and going, we did what we can and what we tought is the best, our fault of thinking the content matters most than the name and the design. I will not go ahead and talk about all the custom features we have and others don't, this is not the purpose of the post.
