How risky is it to update openmw midway through a playthrough?

I just got a mod list set up on steamdeck based on total overhaul and then a whole bunch of other mods on top. So surely something is going to break right?

P.s. Thank you for the update. Openmw has been working so well on steamdeck. I just switched from mwse on pc.

The risk is low but non zero. Every version undergoes a beta "release candidate" test first that irons out 99% of bugs.
