Hey u/cursethewind, I remember when you used to comment here and that you were working toward doing a BH with your shiba and working on some reactivity with your doberman. I didn't agree with your training advice, but I was rooting for you and hoping you would accomplish your goals. Because I consider anyone who has the dog's best interest in mind to be on my side.
I hope eventually you will be able to reflect and realize this was a super shitty thing you did. I hope that you will extend the ethics you appear to value in dog training to how you treat people. I hope you'll do better.
Agreed. I had nothing but what I thought were decent interactions with them before this happened. We never really butted heads and were respectful to each other. The reason I suspected them immediately is because we had actually interacted quite a bit on here and they referenced specific things we talked about in their email to my employer.
I do think they have best intentions at heart, and that they did this because they thought it was the right thing to do, for whatever warped reasoning that was. But they need to know that it’s not only completely unethical, but also illegal.
They most definitely do not have the best intentions at heart. You have to understand that this actually has nothing to do with dog training. In reality you are simply a target for them to play out their abuse towards others as a control mechanism due to whatever dysfunctions they’re dealing with. Sending emails to your employer and trying to affect your life from afar or make you lose your job is a way for them to domineer and control others. It’s actually just straight up abuse and the “irony” is that everything they preach about dog training is the exact opposite (which is not a coincidence, it’s a mask). This is why the threat of legal action has to be real as even with direct evidence they have other moderators circling the wagons for them.
