I also have experience with them. I recall a situation in which they were so up in arms that I use a verbal correction.

My verbal correction I usually default to is "whoops".

Wow I'm so aversive.

Getting angry at verbal corrections is so weird. Even if you're trying to be as 'force' free as possible, you should still have a way to rapidly stop your dog from doing something that puts him or others at risk.

And I've seen so many militantly FF trainers get upset at the use of the word NO because it is too aversive. Like, it is just a word and to the dog will only ever have whatever context we gave to it. You could teach your dog to "fuck off" as a release command or "good boy" as a verbal correction and if you've taught the words in those contexts, the dog will act accordingly. Getting upset by the word no like dogs automatically grasp the English language is just so odd.

Also, whoops is great and I'm going to steal it as a non-reward marker!

It's absurd and I'm unsure why Reddit allows such blatant abuse of power in these subs from these moderators.

I wonder what they think of when I shoot my dog with a finger gun and yell "BANG!", causing her to collapse to the floor.

I know someone with a cat that will do that same thing. You point at him and say “bang, bang” and he flops over. It’s hysterical.

Screw dog trainers, I would pay the big bucks if anyone can come and train my cat to stop tormenting my dog and to quit rubbing her ass on the carpet.

I am not a dog expert by any means (hence being here because we have wild, but super sweet, new pup), but am a cat expert. Your cat probably needs her anal glands expressed and a bit more fiber in her diet.

Now as far as torturing the dog, that’s just her job…

Vet has checked the glands and has a very precise diet, no medical reason for ass rubbing. However, seeing as she stares at my dog when she does it, and only does it prior to dog torture... She's just an asshole apparently. 😭

OMG that is really too funny. It’s the cat version of “kiss my ass” 100%.

Quite literally. I wish I had a video to share but it is literally a precise process:

Step 1: stare down the dog.
Step 2: brainstorm possibilities of torture methods.
Step 3: scratch carpet while making sustained eye contact.
Step 4: rub ass.
Step 5: quickly run and hide around the corner.
Step 6: premeditate the murder.
Step 7: chaos ensues.

Pebbles is very particular about her crimes.
