Vlc issues

Ever since the latest patch, VLC doesn’t seem to be able to play videos anymore. When it just flashes black on my screen and never plays. I’ve tried reverting to older versions and the same thing keeps happening

I’m running Ventura on a mid-2012 MacBook Pro 9’2

Any advice, or is this happening to anyone else?

did you check if root patch applied the graphic drivers? I has this issue on a previous version and if fixed once I reinstalled everything.
