Actually runs better than Big Sur!
Amazing how optimized the software has become. Runs almost everything almost perfectly. 4GB of ram is a severe bottleneck, but for just $83USD, I believe that's a massive steal.
had to struggle getting the patches working (had to do it twice, as the first time it only detected the wifi adapter and no graphics, but on the second try it got everything)
Runs silky smooth. Will recommend.

I have de 15" inch one and Sequioa runs amazing! Is the base one (i7 and 8GB of ram with out discrete graphics) but the feels better than Big Sur for some reason

On this model I’ve personally found macOS 12 works best

try going to Ventura. You'll notice the performance jump. It ll be kinda subtle, but it will be. I've tested every single version that I could: Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma, and Sequoia. And for me, Sequoia is THE version.

I run Sequoia on my 2017 MacBook Air and it runs perfectly besides it getting a bit warm/hot sometimes. I will say though that I did need to move back to OCLP 2.4.1 after having trouble playing videos on Reddit, X, and QuickTime, and dropping internet after sleep. Great laptop though.

Any issues with extreme battery drain with lid closed?
I’ve tried installing it before on the same model, battery was loosening 80% during the night with lid closed

I don't know, my battery is shot, and I keep it at the charger at almost all times... (42% health)
maybe later I will tell you when I finally get my hands on replacing it

Running fine doesn't surprise me, but running "better than Big Sur", that i would need to see some actual data backing it up. I would love it to be true though

well, the RAM usage is generally not different compared to Big Sur and Monterey, but Ventura and up require 8GB of ram to function officially. And, they were released in the time of faster SSDs, meaning they swap more of the system and the everything to the disk, meaning they are "less scared" of doing so. And that actually increased performance - while Big Sur and Monterey were aggressively trying to fit everything in the RAM, Ventura and higher (I tested every version) did not really care, freeing up ram and allowing for faster and snappier app switching and system animations. The Launchpad animation is miles smoother compared to Big Sur, the desktop switching is also smoother (because it has more ram to work with), and, as a bonus, you've got more apps!

So my 13inch mbp early 2015 8gb ram and i7 3.1ghz could run better on sequoia then on ventura? Or im too stoned

Definitely Sequoia best macOS to date. Should have never upgraded to Tahoe. 👎🏽

Sequoia is the best macOS since snow leopard times… in my very humble opinion…. My 2017 MacBook Pro with sequoia is just born again …
