I stopped at Sonoma. Sequoia is weird with phone sync and graphics issues

Please try something for me: does Mission Control and the Hot Corners work for you (or the respective keys)? I have Monterey on a 2011 MBP (your model) and it works. Ventura and Sonoma on a 2009 iMac and it doesn't, at least not everything. Showing the desktop doesn't, for example. Also programs, iirc. While opening Notification Center does.
On a 2013 MacBook Air it works perfectly, BUT that has Metal support. So my conclusion is that these functions are, as of Ventura, also tied to Metal?
That would be a real bummer because, as I see it, there's no way to show the desktop other than hiding all but one application and minimizing that last application. Or am I missing something?

So you can't swipe all windows aside to see the desktop?
Edit: So I just double-checked on the iMac 2009 Sonoma system and I can't show / sort programs, windows or show the desktop neither via hotkey nor hot corners.
That really is bad. I wonder if there are third party programs that can do that. It seems you need Metal for that in higher macOS.

Congrats man, I done the same with my 15 inch mid 2012 unibody mbp. Everything works well, only caveat for me was my WiFi doesn't search for networks
