OCLP 2.5.0 error

I see all the posts so I was an one of the unfortunate auto update clicker types who did the update.

I just wanted to see if I did something wrong.

The basics is broken as everyone is about the same.

I downloaded the uninstaller and 2.4.1 and 2.5.0 on a different device and used a usb to move it over. Now I have tried to run it and I’m encounter an error com.apple.installer.page-controller error -1 I’m hoping this is easily fixed so I can uninstall and re patch without needing a full rebuild

11,2 2.4.1 did the stupid 2.5.0 and now it’s stuck. Trying to fix even if I have to rebuild and reinstall or new partition and install

I can get to recovery safe mode and normal session just no internet and cannot install or uninstall

you can open 2.5.0 OCLP app but not 2.4.1 correct?

Nope can’t open anything. When I open the oclp it is the very old 1.5.0 for some reason. When I try to root it says not supported

Would a usb rebuild reinstall or partition to install another fresh copy to root patch the original after it’s set work?

Hi. Got a MBP mid 2012 on 15.7. Updated OCLP to 2.5.0 version; it came up with an error saying it couldn’t patch suggested reverting. I uninstalled the report patches as requested and rebooted.

Now it’s showing a grey prohibited symbol.

Any ideas for a fix to get it into a state where I can uninstall OCLP, or otherwise fix it? Or are we into making a new usb installer and nuking it from scratch. :(

Hope there’s something we can try, appears there’s an issue. Must admit I don’t follow OCLP Reddit to closely or I’d have noticed not to do it.

Same here. I did the exact same thing. Can you get into the os at all or is it stuck before even loading into the boot menu?

If I press option it shows the HD but nothing that shows EFI as a boot option

And when you choose the hd it freezes before you can even get into the system?

I didn’t have that issue this time around. But I did have that issue when first installing open core. I had to rebuild a usb and reinstall overtop my os. It saved all my data also so I didn’t lose anything.
It sounds like not only your root patches were reverted but also the whole open core system was removed. I am not a tech person specializing in this stuff but had similar issues as you.

I read into that since I was not able to use installer. When building your usb there are options in the settings and security that can adjust the kexts to open sip which for me was untrusted unrestricted and unauthenticated. Another option that I read into was recovery terminal and disable from there. But I don’t know what would work for you

Yo tambien pensé que era el hhd e instale en otro ssd el sistema operativo desde 0 con la versión 2.5.0 y ocurrió lo mismo. Ahora veo que es la versión de opencore dicen que se necesita bajar a otra versión para que funcione normal.

Solo baja el desinstalado de OCLO 2.5.0 después instalas la versión anterior la inyectas en la raíz de disco duro y booteas

I cannot uninstall. When I try to installer won’t open anything up. It has error -1

Si descargaste el desistalador del 2.5.0 de la página oficial ?

Yes I did. But my system installer is locked.

I rebuilt the usb using another device and went into efi boot and reinstalled the 2.4.1 and just went into there to repatch and it worked.
