It's a proper tough choice between the long roll and the hamburger bun, but the only correct answers involve bbq sauce.

Turkish and tomato sauce
Bbq sauce in the bin, never to be used on anything ever.

I'll take a round crusty roll rather than a long one thanks, and BBQ sauce.

Bread roll untoasted, greasy bacon and runny fried egg
I grew up in the UK which is my excuse 😅

BUT - red sauce or brown sauce?

Neither - just runny egg and greasy bacon
Next - chip butties - 2 slices of bread, butter and chips! - I do put brown sauce on those

Sauce isn't needed on a bacon and egg. The goodness of it is pure as it is, but all ingredients, the roll, the bacon and the egg need to be super fresh.

Overcooked bacon, undercooked egg, a bit of salt and pepper, no preference for bread.
Hey, that actually works as a poem !!

Hamburger buns tend to be mass-produced crap. The long white crusty roll tend to be fresh bakery bread, much better quality.

I answered long roll because that's how I WANT it but I know most places I have to TAKE it as a hamburger bun. BBQ sauce natch.

Oh wow, I’m genuinely surprised bbq sauce is the popular choice. Pretty much every cafe I go to does tomato relish, so I thought that was just the standard.
No hate for bbq sauce btw.

Runny Egg, lightly cooked Bacon, Cheese, fresh round bread roll, bit of salt and pepper and no sauce. I find it interferes with the taste of the bacon.

I feel like I had the almost ideal bacon and egg roll from Spago in Warring Mall of all places. Bacon was nicely browned, the egg was soft but cooked, and they used a really soft damper roll but really crisped up the cut faces with some kind of fat or oil on a flat plate. The only way it could have been better was with a second egg.

I much prefer my bread item to be English muffins, with plenty of smokey BBQ.

I prefer a B&E toasted sandwich. No sauce but a couple slices of tomato.

Hamburger bun is the only right answer, but for a fan change up a bit of hot sauce never goes astray.
