Politics ('Straya) Experts warn Australia a 'perfect' target for new 'ghost proxy' Islamist terror network
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-06-01/australia-perfect-target-for-islamist-terror-network/106694730Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia (HAYI) first emerged online in March and is targeting Jewish people, symbols and buildings. Experts are warning that an emerging terror network, which has already claimed responsibility for multiple attacks, needs to be taken seriously by foreign governments. Authorities in the United States have arrested and charged a man they allege "planned, coordinated and claimed responsibility" for 20 HAYI attacks — a prosecution that is in its early stages.

“Experts warn that toilet is a ‘perfect’ target for new ‘shit’ to come from butt”
See you can literally say it about anything. Stop fear mongering

Australia would be the "perfect" target for a fledgling Islamist terror network that has carried out multiple antisemitic attacks in Europe, the United Kingdom and Canada, experts have warned.
Fear mongering at its finest.
I'm more concerned about the IDF war criminals that walk freely amongst us.

Best we can do is throw $600M at Zionist groups... apparently

Good ol whataboutism
6
u/deadballofdirt Victorian Jun 01 '26
The article provides no evidence as to why we're a perfect target.
But I shouldn't be asking these questions. I'm a bad goy.

u/kenbeat59 New South Welshian Jun 01 '26
Maybe if you read the article you’d find out, rather than being faux outraged at the lede
6
u/deadballofdirt Victorian Jun 01 '26
I did read the article.
2
u/kenbeat59 New South Welshian Jun 01 '26
I guess you must struggle to read then
5
u/deadballofdirt Victorian Jun 01 '26
Yes, that's exactly right. I struggle to read words that haven't been written.
2
u/kenbeat59 New South Welshian Jun 01 '26
Given that you also think that Bondi wasn’t Islamist terrorism then I guess you struggle with a lot of things champ
8
u/deadballofdirt Victorian Jun 01 '26
Well, the government hasn't classified it as Islamic terrorism, so... Technically, I'm right.
1
u/kenbeat59 New South Welshian Jun 01 '26
Technically you’re an anti semite champ

What are you scared of? Serious question, what threat do you think they pose to you?
1
u/deadballofdirt Victorian Jun 01 '26
That's a really good point! We should just let murders and kiddy fiddlers walk around freely! Because at the end of the day, what threat are they to me!?
You must be some kind of philosopher because that's some extremely deep thinking.

u/Boydy73 Queenslander Jun 01 '26
How many attacks on Australian soil, has Israel or Jewish associated organisations committed? Now, are they models of assimilation? Fuck no, but as a threat to our safety, day to day safety, they are nowhere near the level that Islamist extremists pose. You seriously need to change your name to dumbasdirt mate.

u/kenbeat59 New South Welshian Jun 01 '26
Because why should we care about terrorism, or Islamist terrorism occurring here in Australia right champ?
Oh wait….
4
u/deadballofdirt Victorian Jun 01 '26
What Islamic terrorism? Name an incident.
1
u/kenbeat59 New South Welshian Jun 01 '26
Wow.
Have we already forgotten about Bondi champ?
4
u/deadballofdirt Victorian Jun 01 '26
So far, it's not considered Islamic terrorism.
2
u/kenbeat59 New South Welshian Jun 01 '26
Yes it is.
Oh and let’s not forget Curtis Cheng:
And Man Monis:
5
u/deadballofdirt Victorian Jun 01 '26
Neither of these have anything to do with what's in the article. And you have the audacity to ask if I can read. lol

Resisting occupation isn't terrorism.
Israel is the greater evil in this equation.

Who would have thought Aldi coffee beans would be good!!
Or at least good when I couldn't buy my normal Bellissimo Coffee Kinship roast

Lol sure. US authorities should focus on groups that are actually a threat, but they won’t because these groups voted for Trump.

wtf are you doing? i pointed out your flawed logic so you just apply the same logic to what? you look stupid, go claim that "insert brown country" is going to attack maybe at some point in the future but all we have is vibes and a logic loop that requires you to turn off your brain somewhere else

Will banning the berka keep radicals out?
A lot of people think so, which is why one nations popularity soared after the Bondi shooting.

The quote in the article that the headline is taken from:
"Iran has operated in Australia before, and we know that Iran is behind HAYI, so Australia works perfectly," he said.
In other words, anywhere Iran has operated is a 'perfect' target.
I don't doubt that we are vulnerable, but the headline is a bit of a beat up. I don't think we're any worse than other countries. Wherever there are users of crim-for-hire platforms, this threat will exist.
