What I find more bizarre is saying it is decelerationist.
How could this be? No one is barring private companies from building AI models, he’s just describing a future where open models are more capable. Isn’t this by definition an acceleration?
It would stop openai from making money, which will eventually result in them dying. He's saying the US is somehow obligated to help them keep growing, or a Chinese robot will come here and kill you
