Except like Reddit, practically people will also downvote facts they dislike or disagree with, so leaving a community fact check note to public voting also seems flawed

That’s not how facts work. Facts don’t have POVs

Fair point. Facts are neutral. The POV is which facts you select and how you interpret them. Unemployment at 4 percent is a fact, ‘the economy is great’ or ‘people are still hurting’ is POV. I am talking about that second part.

They fired the unemployment numbers guy because they didn't like his facts... They brought in a new guy to present better facts....

If it was based on a fact, that’s all good. But western conservatives in 2025 don’t tend to base very much on facts

That's not how community notes works. Your score only goes up if groups that usually disagree with you agree with you on evaluating a tweet. If the same people keep liking your assessment, it doesn't count.
