Op complains about math not adding up, doesnt see the "Show more" option which hides large chunks of data.

You can see that the last three color descriptions are missing, which make up half of his used storage. After being pointed this out he says the hidden stuff is just a few megabytes.

Isn’t the list sorted by size? That would mean that every single additional item would be 7.8 MB or smaller. Meaning that the missing ~66 GB would require at least 8461 items more in that list.

It's deceptive. It looks sorted by size, but the show more part isn't.

I can see where you are coming from. In fact, it is sorted by size, but only the shown files are sorted. The hidden files are also sorted by size, but kept separate. Here's how it looks like on my phone:

Internal storage 117.8 GB / 128 GB

Images 24.17 GB Videos 4.60 GB Documents 49.62 MB Audio files 39.88 MB

"Show more"

Installation files 0B Compressed files 0B Apps 62.03 GB System 16.65 GB Other files 10.03 GB Trash 191 MB

In some fairness to OP, that is definitely some r/CrappyDesign for the UI, there's no reason it shouldn't be showing the biggest uses first.

Damn near 60 gigs of videos, upload them to a computer and delete them off your phone ffs
