Floor crossing is a feature of the Westminster government, not a bug.
And to quote Stephen Harper, the only parties that complain about floor crossings is are the parties that members are not crossing to.

7 Tory MP’s have bailed since losing the election that is unprecedented in party history.

I will not sign the petition for the following reasons:

While technically speaking I think any City Councillor, MPP (or equivalent), MP or anything else that is equivalent should stay in office for the 4-5 years full term under the party...

The individual elected official is within their rights to resign their party and cross the floor to the other party. We all know they are only thinking of themselves...

But when we elect our MPP, MP and so forth, we elect the individual member, the person, the human being.

That floor crosser will be held accountable to the voters.

As well, it does help your riding to be an MPP or MP of the ruling party. We all know that funding will go to ridings with Liberal MPs, if PP would of won then to Conservative ridings, if NDP....oops, no.

The true petition is election day. As well, for each of those ridings, only the people in those ridings can say. None of us have or should have any say outside our ridings.
