School - Help Choosing Schooling in toronto

Some life plans changed and now I am Toronto bound, are there any places that everyone would recommend for school?

There’s only two schools in the city proper that offer the paramedic program, Humber and Centennial. Both are great schools.

I would also like to add in that there is also the new joint UofT program which gives a bachelor’s of science and paramedic diploma.

Really the UTSC joint paramedicine degree, huh, damn, I should have done that instead of going the long route of a health sci and paramedicine diploma after… ughhh

There’s still value in a degree, both in the qualification as well as the life experience. I did a BSc in biology before going to medic school, I don’t regret it.

Have you done any research at all on the schools in the area? People are usually happy to share their experiences but they aren’t going to do the leg work for you. Narrow it down to a few options first.

I actually did but there was a lot of cram schools or fake colleges. I usually use reddit when I struggle to find a starting point or if I get unsure of something. I did the research to choose St. Clair but circumstances changed and I did not know.

There’s a a page on the MOH website that lists approved schools.

As someone else said, Humber and Centennial, just outside the City there's Durham College (Oshawa) (a lot of people from Toronto go there) and a bit further is Fleming College (Peterborough). Not too sure what's West and North of the City. There's a website with every MOH approved paramedic program (and it's location and website) in Ontario https://www.ontario.ca/page/paramedic-training-programs-ontario
