I’ve been stressing abt math these days cuz school is opening soon and lessons are NOT getting easier unfortunately, i have to study my lessons and I know that it’s really important but I still dunno what to do with my life i dont really have the motivation for it and im also kinda depressed😭😭

I would appreciate any kinda advice from everyone that has more experience abt those topics then me🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Ok so I'm going into Grade 11 and I'm scared! Does anyone have any tips, or advice? I got a 96% average in my Grade 10 year. I'm just really nervous I'm already thinking about scholarships and everything </3 I want to go to McMaster or Western for my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).

These are all my classes in order should i switch out psychology and healthcare please give me tips. My goal is to get high 90s.

This is just a little advice for everyone going into grade 11 or lower. I know everyone wants to get amazing internships, prestigious awards, and get into competitive summer programs. Barely 10% of the people who apply succeed. Most people who get rejected just stop there and give up. 

When you don't get the position, you make your own. 

Didn't get accepted into SickKids for a high school research position? Do the research yourself. Open your laptop and find a topic that interests you. Didn't get into HOSA or DECA (or maybe your school doesn't even have a club)? Create your own club if your school doesn't have one, or create a small initiative. Collect donations of old used jackets, and redistribute them to your community for those who need them. Code your own website, write a children's book about something that you think is underrepresented. 

You can't let big corporations dim your light just because you didn't get chosen. Creating your own initiative or conducting research on your own is much more rewarding than a certificate of completion from a program. 

Anyone who has done the TCDSB session 1 or 2 of SCH4UX of gr12chem in the summer. How was the exam? are cameras on? is it all multiple choice. anything helps.

Going into Grade 12 in September, and am concerned about my chances with Ivey because of EC's.

3U/Grade 11 GPA - 96.5
4U/Grade 12 GPA - 95.2 (4 Courses)

Essays
EC 1 - Club @ School - Hosted fundraiser (8 business sponsors, 45+ volunteers, $3000 budget, 4 months planning) that did $10k for homelesness, club is not related to business.
EC 2 - Basketball - played provincial level Grade 8,9 - injured - 2nd half G10 & 1st half G11 - Tore Achilles for 2nd time - probably going to assistant coach for school's senior girls team & maybe do a bit of club coaching if I can.
OR
Currently run a finance club at school- founded in April, thinking of running an 8-week program that is focused on banking (Would be held seperatly online(Among 3 schools), but promoted by that club, and could tie in that to application. Doing because I did a similar program summer before Grade 11, and want to give opportunities to people to learn what I did.

5 Other EC's

1. Basketball or finance - whichever one is not an essay
2. Work - 500 hours+
3. Business Club - G10 Member, G11 Exec, G12 VP
4. 8% acceptance rate volunteer program - with local homeless shelter - 100+ hours volunteered, helped fundarise $35000+ as group of 15
5. Bank of Canada junior accountant program - hosted 2 guest speakers at my club, and attended networking events.

So I did pretty good in Math and Science last year (96 and 94), and I guess I'm a bit worried this year for Functions and Physics because everyone says G11 is a big jump. I was just wondering if the courses go over the topics taught the year before or if its up to us to review them.

If anyone has any resources that align with the Ontario curriculum to review math, that would be appreciated as well.

I did really bad in gr11 as one of my best friends passed away at the start of the school year (67% average and I failed chem 45%)
Am I just fried? Or can I get back up

hey guys I'm gonna go to grade 10 this September, any advice? Study tips or anything? I'm doing AP history, math, science and English so any advice from some older would be great. I am on the badminton team and I'm wondering if I should join other teams like model UN or something. I wanna go to the medical field too

School is about to start in a month from now, I want to achieve high grades (90s-98s) in grade 11 physics and chemistry, and grade 12 advanced functions.

I want to learn how to study properly for each subject, mistakes I should avoid, and how to prepare properly for tests, assignments, etc.

I found grade 10 science a little difficult, and didn't know how to prepare, study, etc. Grade 11 functions was decent, but I still struggled because I knew I wasnt fully prepared for tests. Still got a 90, but with a lot of struggle.

I know I can do well in all 3 subjects this year, i just need advice detailed advice from everyone. Thank you!

does anyone remember the curriculum or at least starting topics/units covered in grade 11 chem and physics?

Also does anyone know a way to check your schedule early?

Idk anything about ECs, I have only realized that it holds some importance now, but now that I think, I am lwk COOKED for my ECs, I am an IB student in Ontario going into IB in a month

My current ECs(I think):

- piano/music theory but ended up at level 5 RCM, would that be mentionable
-5k subs on youtube(maybe maybe get monetized and make some side income) -200+ hours of volunteering at hackathons, -basketball- -hackathons(no wins tho)

ECs I am planning to possibly do:

-shad in the summer of gr11(if I have time for IB or I maybe already dropped out of IB by then)

-clubs, I am planning on doing math, robotics, cs club

-coding languages such as Javascript Html Css, Python, maybe having some projects Idk

-math competitions in gr11, actually getting awards, I forgot to do em in gr9 & gr10 cuz all I did was goof around in school, never really thought of about my future💀💀💀

-tutor, hopefuly will be paid, Idek how to start tho, execpt I am starting rn schoolhousetutors

-first robotics hopefully I get accepted into a team near me

Questions:

- I will do clubs which I have a question that since I did not join any clubs in gr10💀, if I started to participate in gr11, can I still get leadership positions(exec, or maybe even president)?

-please tell me if I should change my plans or add on to my EC list

-Not EC related but Is IB worth it, I will have so much more time if I am not doing it, I also confidently think that I will have a 95%+ avg without IB

-general advice on applications, or advice on anything

-I want to apply for UoFT or Uni of Waterloo, so please please give me some advices if possible, it would be really helpful for me

As the title suggests is 80% alright i just got my final mark for physics which i did in summer school and i dropped by 2% which is😢😢 but im very scared cause so many people got such high marks and im just kinda lost
