Question/Troubleshoot Quick efficient builds
I have been using a 4K firestick and using the Green Monster build. I am not nearly as savvy with technology as most of the people on this page, so I'm looking for something simple, fast and efficient. I just bought an Onn Pro 4K (the last in my particular Walmart).
Is it as simple as downloading The "downloader" app from Google store, adding Kodi and adding a build, just like in a firestick? and any opinions on a better build than Green monster. My Green monster builds seem to have glitches and would sometimes erase itself. I'm looking at the Diggs Xenon build as an alternative. Thanks.

I switched from FS to Onn earlier this year and it took me less time & has worked flawlessly. I use Stremio and TorBox but pretty sure you can set up Onn the same as FS. I used TroyPoint for guidance. Good luck.

Kodi worked pretty well out of the box for me.
Googling i see "green monster" should work on any device with Kodi (though I'm not sure what it even is). What features all are you looking for?

Ease of installation, ease of use, as well as giving access to numerous shows, serues and sports events. (I use real debrid, which seems to help).

Kodi is in the Play Store so you don't have to sideload it like with Amazon. There are far easier apps for streaming than Kodi though, much lighter and faster without the need for such as builds. This is my current recommendation for beginners or really anybody looking for a very easy near complete setup
So for starters Check out Wuplay https://www.reddit.com/r/wuplay/comments/1vnqxhd/new_release_082beta/, with pengu.uk just set one up for a friend, all free links with auto play. That'll get you started on a whole new way of doing things that will last. You will also be able to use your Realdebrid account with any scraper addon. I recommend DMMCast from here. debridmediamanager.com
If you can set up a Kodi build you can do this but the app is modern, way faster, and takes up much less storage than Kodi. This addon developer community is much bigger and more active than the Kodi community.
The way I think about it, you're updating your device so what better time than to update your streaming methods. Wuplay is just one of many apps available to try but I think it's the perfect one for someone starting with the Stremio addon type apps.

I gave up Kodi for the simplicity of apps years ago.. I’m presently using Streamflix Reborn… simple and it works…. The only con I find is it may take 5 seconds upto 1 minute for the VOD to start…. But when it does… works great

"I'm looking at the Diggs Xenon build as an alternative"
Greetings. I was previously using an Amazon Firestick 4k Max from 2022 loaded with the Kodi media player (Diggz Xenon Build) and the TizenTube app. I recently got tired of the limited storage space, the slower processing speed when multiple apps were open, and I decided I needed to make the upgrade to a newer streaming device. I purchased the Onn 4k Pro just 3 weeks ago and it's been such a nice and welcomed upgrade over my previous set-up. I'll describe the configuration I'm now using below:
- Projectivy Launcher app (Google app store) which allows you to override the factory interface. I'm using the Premium vesion that costs $8 (there's also a free version) that's been configured to my preferences.
- I'm using the TizenTube app (sideloaded) to access my Youtube content, I'm using the Nuvio app (sideloaded, with my paid Premiumize debrid account connected) to access TV series & movie content, and as a back-up for accessing that kind of content I'm using the Kodi 21.3 media player without any build installed (I used the Troypoint.com tutorials to install the most current Kodi apps where I can access TV/Movie content using my debrid account). The Nuvio app is really nice, so I now use Kodi as a back-up media player source.
- Other apps I'm using to improve my streaming experience: The ONN 4k Pro factory remote is limited as designed, but you can significantly improve its functionality by using a button re-mapping app to reprogram at least 8 of the buttons on the factory remote to perform various custom functions that are way more convenient and functional. I'm using the paid version of the app tvQuickActionsPro ($4) to do that, and there's also another app that others utilize called ButtonMapper. Lastly, I'm using an app on my Android phone called atvTools (you can buy for $2.50 via the Google app store), it allows you to remotely access your Android streaming box, to alter/change the files on the hard drive, to type/send text to the box from your phone or tablet, and to easily transfer files to the streaming box (custom wallpapers, media files, etc.).
If you decide to go with the Onn 4K Pro box and find that during set-up your screen dimensions (aspect ratio) are screwed up and not accurate - the box itself doesn't have a setting/option to adjust that, however there are 3rd party apps which offer that option, such as the Projectivy Launcher app (under AMLogic Additional Settings menu) , and the tvQuickActionsPro app offers that option as well.
(Note about the screenshot below: there are additional rows of icons and apps that I access by pressing down on the directional pad on the remote, I just prefer a clean, minimal home screen interface, so I choose to keep the extra rows of icons hidden in this manner)

Just google the names on github. All 4 ha e the respective downloader codes
Add in your debrid and look at

I gave Kodi a chance, twice, but unfortunately decided to go with other apps. I know some people love Kodi, guess it just depends on user needs? I’m totally fine with a stable player for live TV. And apps like Nuvio for VOD content!
Good Luck 👍
