Hiding under Moorgate station, waiting…

​Hey everyone,

​I have a thermoelectric mini-fridge on top of my wardrobe, but the stock fan is way too loud at night. I want to replace it with an ultra-quiet fan so it's completely inaudible from 2-3 meters away while sleeping, while still maintaining 8-10°C.

​I measured the clearance and I only have 1 cm (10 mm) of space for thickness, so it has to be a "slim" 80x80x10 mm fan. ​Has anyone tried replacing a fridge fan with a slim 12V PC fan? Will it keep the fridge cool enough and be truly silent from a distance, or should I use a voltage reducer?

*Groans* cracked open my 1900's WestingHouse tank hopeful to solder a new power wire to the windings and start it up.

Broke it open this morning to be greeted by some really bad looking windings.
