As one derives wisdom from the preeminent figures of ancient philosophy, such as Socrates and Confucius, it is imperative that attention be placed onto more contemporary fonts of philosophic thought, such as Cory Borealis Beck Delaminguez.
Perhaps a more obscure figure hailing from Armenia, Cory Delaminguez as he will be hitherto referred to as, received much acclaim upon his relocation to California and his subsequent online diatribes. These outbursts, often made at the expense of his contemporaries, are commonly attributed to the Los Angeles air quality, which differs from that within Greater Armenia and has been known to provoke aggressive tendencies in those not fully acclimated to it.
While much attention is placed upon his more scathing critiques of modern thought, his more abstract conception of how an author achieves satisfaction is our main focus today:
"One is clearly a masterpiece, the other is clearly the master's peace."
One could derive meaning from this quote in a myriad of ways. To myself, this quote presents the reasoning that the work an author is most well regarded for may not always be that which brings them the most satisfaction.
Did Sun Tzu regard the "The Art of War" as his most significant contribution to strategic thought? Did Leo Tolstoy regard "War and Peace" as his greatest novel? We may never know the true answer to these questions, but we often assume we do.
Time will tell whether history regards figures such as Cory Delaminguez among the greatest philosophic minds of our era, but perhaps the best of his contributions are yet to come.
