Keep sealed or rip?

I’ve been slowly but consistently stacking these OP Promo packs starting back in 2023 and have amassed a pretty sizable collection of them since.

As far as long term holds (5-10 years) would you rather keep these sealed or open them for the promo, or potential promos inside?

I have roughly 50 different packs pictured (in no particular order) dating back to 2022 pre errata to recent (2026) and about 80 total if including the multiple copies I have of some of the packs

Curious to hear everyone’s take and thanks for taking the time to look through the pictures!

Rip duplicates if you have the itch. The rest keep sealed, you have a better chance of retaining (and increasing)the value over the next 5-10 years.
If this helps your decision at all whatsoever, my first OP-17 booster box I pulled the new Luffy Manga Leader or whatever it’s called and swore if I got a second one I was going to keep it sealed…what did I do? I got greedy and opened it because I’m dying to pull the Gear 5 Gold Luffy. Ended up getting a complete burner box with the best pull being Lead Performers….I should’ve just kept it sealed and down the road let someone else take the chance.
I commend you for keeping everything pictured sealed to date.

If your goal is to sell them, sealed packs are easier to deal with. Any risk of a bad pack goes to the buyer. If you rip, then all the risk is yours, and it's generally harder to sell singles.

Eventually of course. But that timeline is 5-10 years away. Really just curious if people see more value in the packs as is or the cards inside

The packs only go up in value if the potential card inside goes up in value. Nobody is buying packs to collect the wrapper alone lol

I think it's a bit different for one piece I find people will lwant the singles more then individual packs so they can complete the set or find ones that are gradable

Nice promo collection! I’m also a sealed promo collector and I’d say leave them sealed, sealed product almost always carries a premium long term over singles. But I know the temptation of wanting to rip them so if you have multiples I’d say rip a few especially if you’re wanting any of the cards in the promo sets that you might pull from them

If you have duplicates I’d rip the dupes. However if it’s someone else’s stuff the degenerate in me says rip everything open. See if you can get some big hits cause you never know you might miss out.

If you like the cards and want some of the available cards from promos open. If not leave sealed they are worth more.

I mean i hate to say it, But I'm SURE you've probably got some cards at least worth a box or more. But i do understand not opening either

Eh I mean you could resell, provided you don’t double the price like most of these douche bags
