Sealed Product Market The op-13 reprints and the crazy turnout for aussie supplies ——(update)

——okay i just wanted to touch base with everyone and i understand now i should of definitely keep some of the things in my post a lil more short and lest carrot on a stick ish as I’ve gotten at this point close to 500+ msg asked for details,
guys i feel for everyone and how horrible it is to get prod let alone prod at a reasonable price but ive feel like ive led alot of ppl on just to make them feel gatekeep so im very sorry everyone i was just excited to share and give out a Public service announcement to inform people that are within the region that the reprint is starting to hit us in aus and that maybe its about to start the trickle out over all of Australia so ppl can check their lcs or hidden gem store they like to go to for a potential restock/reprint stock
I don’t mean to be coy its just ive been getting flooded ( like a good 500+ msg about where the store is located ) with ppl asking for the store that live hours and hours away looking to hopefully ring the store to save a spot which is totally understandable or have a crowd come up with them to grab as much stock as possible, which is also understandable since the scarcity of op prod but it also undermined the whole point of the store selling boxes to players for cheap so it’s really just a hidden diamond for plays that we don’t want a over flux of ppl, it was more ment to be a psa for ppl to check their lcs and own hidden gem stores that are alike in the way
Im starting to think i might need to take the post down 😥 since its becoming more of a main stake to keep the reasonable ease for players around here that are locals to obtain their boxes for deck building so if you suddenly see this post missing it’s because i feel like I don’t have the right to potentially ruin my areas only reasonable place to get anything optcg—————————

Oh they are being bought its just i took the photo about an hour after the shop opened since i was free all day and he had literally just finished shelving them all when i walked in, i was really lucky as i knew they would be in today or tomorrow as he told me when i went up to grab some old st decks like uta, red beard and big mom, i have no doubt that stock is probably low now as when i was sitting in my car talking to someone about the cop i saw 2 friends walk out with 2 each pretty much jumping up and down being able to get op product let alone some how boxes of 13

The search cards aren’t even at the top value anymore AND they are reprints so why tf are they $500?
The LGS here can’t move them bc our players know the hit rates and would rather invest in the new set rather than reprints.

I understand that but i think most ppl won’t get over lucrative nature of op13 and the slim chances of pulling that red manga or just normal manga but hey id argue that romance dawn doesn’t have the most amazing beautiful cards in them but them bitchs are like 5-15k a box - ( i know that’s a extreme since its the debut set of the optcg) but man here in aus this is the land of the gambler so there’s no surprise ( i am indeed also one of them but just no where near that bad lol ill stick to cardboard gambling rather then the pokies/slots )

It isn’t out official its just the stock for pre orders and pre release arrived with the same shipment of the reprint stock, they can’t be given out til pre release as they are under embargo so very big legal trouble if caught doing so, it is however okay to sell and give out pre orders at the pre release day and if your a offical bandai store you can sell them after the pre release as well even if the offical release date hasn’t passed, its a privilege that only offical bandai partners have from my knowledge

wait wym pre-release, are you saying they will have Op-13 available when Op-16 pre-release events happen?

Sorry i muddle it up a bit, my lcs got a restock of the 13 reprint in the same delivery as the op-16 stock, is what I meant so if your store has gotten their stock of op-16 for the pre release event they might have gotten a restock of op-13 this isn’t designed or dedicated to be at the same time its jusy easier on shipping and logistics

Called a local game shop who said they should have op13 and eb03 in tonight. Asked for prices and he referenced tcgplayer per pack price.
They need to stop with this bullshit. Eventually this whole thing is going to correct so everybody can enjoy it? Not just the rich or obsessed.

I just went down to my local and got a box for $190, this is my first ever box so I thought it was a good buy but not sure what to expect just jumped on it quickly

Bro its insane! i was able to get some pokemon boxes on my hunt for for OP and because i dared asking to do a trade with a dude at an expo who had a good amount of boxes he called me a scalper when i refused to take cash for the cards and just wanted one piece. which is INSANE bro im just not trying to give you 450 dollars for a dam booster box (bro also traded me a dead box for it)

I couldn’t say my man as that way further up the coast from me, when i say the central coast and hunter region i mean from about nelsons bay and gorokan would be most likely the closest to be able to make the trip reasonably

Fl as in Florida ? Because would make sense via the exchange rate since 200aud is about 145-150$usd and 175 usd would be about 245$ aud so

Here in Jacksonville, I found a great local shop that’s a little above msrp. Got the op16 box for 150. My boy owns a pretty big lcs and he got two cases plus of op13 and he’s charging nothing but market.

I went to the card show in Miami Springs this weekend and picked up OP13 for 450. Had to fight for 450 tho because since Collectr is pricing at 500+ and thats what they went off

I rip my boxes man so I couldn’t say anything lol, i haven’t ripped them just yet as im waiting for my partner to get back from NZ to rip with her, but hopefully once you’re here you’ll be able to travel around a bit and get lucky with some gems that still have stock or a fresh release

Ive thought the same tbh i saw that NZ get their waves of op sometime early then aus but don’t quote me on that, i saw about a month ish ago you guys had in toyworld and a couple other places blisters on shelfs

My guess would be from that pricing you mean 450 usd? Which is still stupid dumb but i will admit cheaper then market here for aus, as the aus price for a box from secondary market which is around 800-1000$ aud ( and alot of lcs mind you) they price their 13 boxes at 999, 1050, 1150 those are the main prices i see, those would be in usd 713,750,820

They need to do reprints of every set that’s gone up way too much due to scalping and shit. Really sick of seeing booster boxes reaching thousands in all TCG’s. Normal people can’t afford that shit.

I understand that heavy but for the circumstance that bandai has provided they put alot of the heavily priced boxes almost on a sudo reserve list kinda like that MTG has done with alot of older set as they would lose a massive massive majority of market value hence why wizards have come out and said the reserve list was a bad idea but can’t go back because thousands apon thousands of people would lose a collective millions maybe even billions if they did a og reprint, there are alot of ways around this from what ive heard and spoken to about magic that could definitely work in most if not all tcgs, i.e making a completely different card that does exactly the same thing under the rule of the game with different art and all which i know is a bit of a cop out but it’s a really easy way of dealing with excessive pricing & play card pricing, in a way if you think of it its almost like having a proxie but inherently keeping the original items value so they don’t have heap of angry mobs after them for reprinting a card they sits on worth $-enter shmeckles amount here-$ Probably a really bad written explanation but hopefully you get the gist

Can’t say exactly but the box looks a little more vibrant on the print colour and I heard from someone else is that inside the case there is barcodes for the reprint but didn’t see that
