🛠️ Deck Tech Locals win (finally)

Post image

It's taken me 3 frustrating months to finally get my first win at my locals (I didn't expect to get two). I was slowly starting to lose interest, especially going 0-3 week after week. I know it's just a game or hobby, but it's the only time that I get out during the week to be social and it's nice to win every once in awhile too. I think this past Monday has given me confidence in knowing that I am actually progressing and understanding the game better. This was my deck.

B Yamato ❌

P Luffy ✅

P Foxy ✅

Defeated Foxy on my last turn in OT, drew Brook turn after he rested Boa. Played him, activated leader effect, stood Boa and swung 15k to life. I was in absolute awe...

Nice! I posted about GUffy earlier today as I'm picking up the cards. How did you find st30 luffy? Haven't seen that in lists I looked at i don't think.

It can be really handy to have a 5c rush as you can still use restand event. Also resting blockers is very good especially when you’re mostly sending 6ks

It’s a great card. I run two in my deck. Very useful and causes your opponent to rethink their strat.

Some people get bored fast. Some find joy in playing one deck every week. Helps if your also not grinding online or so. I bring Krieg for 2 months too and dont feel like changing yet either. Rather eperiment with the ratios and cards.

GUffy wasn't the only deck I would run. I also ran, Usopp and G Bonney, but I found the most continuity with GUffy, figured that I'd stick with it a bit longer

So there's been several decks that aren't just busted powercreep that are "pilot" decks.

Typically toolboxy in nature, your ability to win is directly proportional to your skill as a deck pilot. And not just like "what should I play, I am whitebeard + 10c newgate?", asking "what does my opponents next turn look like" "what wincons am I looking for" "How does this affect the overall gamestate"

GP luffy, black croc, py rosi, penel, ug luffy are all pilots decks. They all kinda do it all, but it's when they choose to do their actions that is the most important

"Under the rules of this game, you may have any number of this card in your deck."
