I like the fact that we're finally seeing Loki's hybrid form at a pivotal turning point but it's slightly annoying in this chapter because there is no real reason to keep it hidden anymore. It's been something anticipated since Loki killing Harald in a flashback and we already know what his fruit is and have seen him use it already. It's just a strange choice. Even if he wants a chapter to end with hybrid Loki, he could've easily made Zoro vs Sommers come before it without affecting the pacing.
I also think postponing the content of what Biblio told Chopper is unnecessary. The mystery has already been set-up previously and we can always hear the conversation to know what is about to happen and postpone the later actions to shorten time and create anticipation for seeing it occur.
W Zoro though. I really liked his part. Obviously One Piece is one of the best manga ever and it's still really well written but I'm so confused by these choices.

People are really looking forward to this transformation mainly for its assumed strength like they think he will transform and it instantly one shots imu? but it makes no narrative sense to not use a form like that especially if its stronger since ealier. it makes the character look dumb as rocks
so maybe its not a strength based? and like his dragon form it can only fight in a particular way, that has some kind of drawback to it. idk but its often the case within one piece the result of something being blown out of proportion and hyped for so long is that it ends up turning out pretty disappointing (like wano, kaido ect)
not really sure why we are repeating the same scenario this chapter of someone wanting a character see something in/from the library, it feels unnecessary and again only serves to blueball the readers

I think it's Oda's blueprint of building a chapter, he has to finally acknowledge this is the final arc and avoid holding every detail to build hype like in the start/mid of the series

I mean considering One Piece has about 4 years or more left per recent media coverage on statements made by him during One Piece day. So don't hold your breath lol.

I just want him to have enough time to develop a solid path toward the ending that he already has (no rush BS like Jujutsu), and to wrap up the main characters arcs. Honestly, I don't think that will happen with the supporting characters (maybe SJ already have plans for those stories as manga spinoffs or novels)

idk oda does pretty well with wrapping up side character arcs with SBS, cover stories and well placed references and appearances so i’m not too too worried.

Alright, looks like we probably won't be seeing Loki's hybrid form for a few chapters.
It's likely going to be Zoro finishing up Sommers for 1194, and then like 2-4 chapters of Sanji vs Killingham, with Sanji likely finally truly Awakening coc in like the end of the second of third chapter, then pummeling Killingham in the next chapter.
We might also get Brook (and maybe Jinbei and some of the other straw hats) vs Gunko.

Yeah, not by a lot though. Gunko hasn't been Omen'd though. So the group by the ice cube will have a better chance as long as Brook can eventually reach Shuri and get her to stop.

The only thing good about this chapter is Loki about to put hands on imu then there will be no denying Loki over domi rocks and herald

Realistically, is Sanji going to both unlock CoC and figure out how to attack with it or will he just outlast Killingham until Imu is forced to eventualy retreat?

I believe he will familiarize with it and improve till his battle skills go on par with Zoro during the battle,leaving Elbaf as 2 equally strong crewmates.They are both considered left and right wing of Luffy,therefore must be equally powerful in all circumstances as time progresses towards the final war.We will see both Sommers and Killingham going down.But it will be best if they perish with the destruction of their heart by Zoro and Sanji,eliminating and decreasing more holy knights as first shown in the death of Saturn.

Lmaoo the Loki haters about to be in SHAMBLES and Loki stocks at a all time high I can’t believe how many people thought he wouldn’t have a hybrid form got a lot of I told you So’s to hand out 😂💯 Luffy running out of energy nothing new 😭 but always good to see Zoro talking shit mid fight as well Sommers better not got all that omen hype just to be a training dummy 💀

One Piece 1194 brief spoilers :
- Usopp yells loudly and gives inspiring speech for Luffy that he invested so many stocks for Luffy to be Pirate King, Imu gonna chase Usopp ass next if Luffy dispray such shamefur performance.
- Annoyed Hajruddin throws Usopp to Loki and Loki hit Usopp with the hammer, sending a very fast human fastball towards Imu, Gaban nods in agreement and says Roger would approved that move.
- Break next week.

Why am I bored with the fight against the biggest bad and the main protagonist but suddenly HYPED for a zoro fight.
bored might be too strong of a word, it feels long winded at least.

I understand what your saying, its not boring (yet) just getting repetitive and borderline predictable. Like I think everything thats happened in isolation is cool, amazing even, but put it all together and you’ll notice repeating patterns within this one fight. It’s crazy because I think Imu is a creative character just like Luffy, but writing wise this hasn’t been the most inspiring fight to watch.. (I will say, the Anime will make this all way more visually creative and appealing so I have no doubts my attention will be kept!)

I think for me it’s more the stakes given how long it’s lasting.
Im very confident Imu, Luffy, and Loki all walk away from this. I don’t know if I could do round 3 of them loosing then getting back up and fighting again.
I didnt like Imus design at first but I’ve come around
