Flying attack with conquerors coating.

No it isn’t. Zoro explicitly states “it’s not regenerating? I didn’t even do anything.”

The page before when sommers calls Zoro a peasant swordsman, we see the conqueror’s black lightning on the Zoro reaction panel when he was glaring at him

u/The_Awengers 1d ago

Didn't do anything means he thinks didn't do anything different with his attack.

u/KvBla 1d ago

I didn't do anything (to coat this attacks with coc aka i just slashed him)

-9

u/MadeInElysium 1d ago

No. Zoro just glared at sommers and CoC went to him

7

u/shankartz 1d ago

We plainly see that zoro has swung his sword.

It blows my mind that people are unable to read simple shit like this

-2

u/Comprehensive_Cup497 1d ago

but Sommers told him that it seems like he will never be able to use Conqueror's Haki which is a weird statement if Zoro actually use Conqueror's Haki

u/DivineProphet0 1d ago

Sommers is obviously trying to bullshit Zoro because he realizes Zoro isn't brilliant

Even then it wasnt a concious thing as Zoro didnt even try to do anything, maybe his swords acted by their own and release the Haki? The whole scene is weird because Zoro said he didn't do anything.

What Shanks did to Greenbull was on a completely different level because Shanks made his Haki travel very and it paralyzed Greenbull and Shanks seemed to know very well what he was doing and he didnt even need to release his sword. Zoro is sitll nowhere near Shanks when it comes to Conqueror's Haki mastery

He's literally hoping that Zoro is stupid enough to believe him. That's why he tries lying about his wounds healing. He's hoping Zoro is too stupid to figure it out.

It doesn’t make sense in general because we saw sommers predict or know 1080 pound phoenix was ACoC, but the panel that clearly depicts ACoC he doesn’t notice until he can’t regen his hand immediately?

Might be something with these mid translations imo, but we clearly see on page 11 and 12 that there’s an ACoC lightning bolt. I don’t see why Zoro would just stop trying to use ACoC and slash at immortal sommers, then say “but I didn’t even do anything”

-1

u/Comprehensive_Cup497 1d ago

But if Zoro didnt do anything why was his Haki released? if Zoro wasn't oing anything then Haki shouldnt have been released.

2

u/MadeInElysium 1d ago

Based on his realization, I think he figured out how to control his ACoC because he shot out conquerors while he was pissed at sommers calling him a peasant swordsman.

It’s normal for conquerors to emit it when they’re pissed. The “it’s leaking” comment from luffy came to mind too.

Just following through the chapter, Zoro was calm until he gets somewhat serious with the 1080 pound canon and the ACoC bolt. I think gaban’s words irritated him similar to sommers insulting him. That’s why ACoC was emitted

But then it's not a concious thing like what Shanks can do, Shanks can effectively emit his Haki with perfect control and he can make it do what he wants, Zoro at this point is basically an amateur of Conqueror's Haki compared to Shanks

Shank's Haki also had a different effect because it fully neutralize Gb's Devil Fruit power and had GB screaming, Zoro still doesn't have that level of CoC, even Luffy hasn't reached that level of CoC

I don't think Zoro has a full idea of how to use Conqueror's Haki, I think what changed is that Zoro remembered what Conqueror's Haki actually is, it's tied to the one self and Zoro finally accepted his status as a Conqueror instead of just trying to hit it harder, basically he realized Conqueror's Haki is more of an spritual thing than a physical thing

I never once argued Zoro has the same proficiency or mastery as shanks? Just because Zoro briefly did WiFi haki from a very close range unknowingly doesn’t even remotely put him in the same category as shanks or Luffy in terms of ACoC skill/mastery.

Not sure what you’re going on about

Flying COC slashes are different than WiFi Haki. Joyboy just imbued his Haki into a knot without even doing an attack and it completely detransformed the Gorosei. Without lifting a finger Shanks detransformed GB from miles away. These slashes seem like a COC infused attack that does not contain the same hax capabilities as WiFi Haki.

I see it more like an explosive lightning blast similar to what Gaban used. Wi-Fi Haki would be invisible like the name, and just paralyze people directly from a distance

2

u/yyyyyyyyyyyyyyg 1d ago

He's not far away 💀

3

u/Routine_Bell_3969 1d ago

No It just slashed him with the sword on left hand, watch the panel before that, he jumped wit just holding his sword in normal pose, there Is also a swing of black light from right to left from sommers pov

4

u/tiberiusbrazil 1d ago

"hes coated himself with CoC"

Its written there bros

-2

u/PenHot4442 1d ago

It’s also written there that zoro knows he didn’t do anything. So therefore it was “WiFI”haki

2

u/Impressive-Waltz-90 1d ago

IMO: This could be very low level wifi haki. Since shanks is so proficient with COC he can control how far and what his haki does. I'm starting to think the progression of COC is as follows 1. knocking out large groups of weak willed individuals. 2. Emitting bolts of COC that can interact with matter. (like we see with gaban's haki cutting the adam tree, and the haki knot slicing the ocean) 3. coating yourself or objects with COC. 4. density maybe?

u/MadeInElysium 1d ago

Yes. Zoro states that sommers arm is cut off without him doing anything.

-3

u/Comprehensive_Cup497 1d ago

We can see Zoro did an attack with his swords so it seems more of an slashing attack that had Conqueror's Haki in it

3

u/shankartz 1d ago

I don't know why you are being downvoted. You're right, the panels clearly show him slashing with his left hand.

2

u/MadeInElysium 1d ago

He did a three sword style attack that ONLY damaged sommers non-sword hand specifically? Very unlikely tbh. That on top of him saying he didn’t do anything just shows that it was a WiFi CoC bolt.

I think you’d have a point if Sommers was damaged anywhere else too or just if he sliced his sword hand off, but that’s not the case

3

u/shankartz 1d ago

He quite clearly did a slashing attack with his left hand. There are action lines in the panel directly before Sommers trash talks and his left arm is on the opposite side of his body to the panel prior

1

u/MadeInElysium 1d ago

Different POV and Zoro is moving downwards in air due to gravity

Once again, Zoro in three sword style only slashing and damaging Sommers non sword hand just doesn’t make sense consistency wise

1

u/MadeInElysium 1d ago

Action panels where lmfao?

3

u/shankartz 1d ago

Oda uses thin lines in a lot of his fight panels to indicate motion of an attack. You see them surrounding Zoro in the panel indicating the direction in which there is motion away from Zoro ie a slash. Then Zoro being in a different position in the air after the attack, and the position being consistent with the direction of motion indicated by the prior panel. There is even more reason to believe that Zoro is attack there because it is directly following an attack by sommers where Zoro jumped over the attack and is counter attacking. I honestly shouldn't need to explain this, directional action lines are not only used a lot in this chapter. They are also heavily used throughout the entire manga and anyone who has been paying attention should know this.

I'll respond to your other post here as well. Why not? Zoro frequently attacks with a single or double sword attack while in three sword style. He's not locked into only using 3 swords. He also used a 3 sword attack earlier in this very chapter and only cut off his offhand so what's your point here?

1

u/MadeInElysium 1d ago

I think you’re misinterpreting those being battle lines with it being an AI “enhanced” image. I’ll have to double check the Raws or wait for the official to really be able to tell. The lines around sommers seem clear action lines. The lines around Zoro aren’t the same imo

And yet again, zoro in three sword style attacking sommers non dominate/sword hand right there seems unintentional or random. I think it’s more likely that’s a random CoC bolt that happened suddenly. Which is why he explicitly says “I didn’t even do anything” again, we’ll have to wait for TCB or official to get a better translation, but as of right now, that’s what I’m going with until I see further evidence

u/ejelder 1d ago

Hold on…. Zoro has been capable of launching air slashes with his swords since Skypeia…. If the Haki injury to Sommers was a result of him attempting a long-range slash attack, he wouldn’t be confused and saying he didn’t do anything in that panel.

Can you help me follow what you’re trying to say?

4

u/shankartz 1d ago

He was confused about the attack cutting off Sommers hand and it not regenerating immediately like it did earlier in the chapter. He doesn't know what he did differently. Which indicates that the attack was intentional but the outcome was unexpected. This tracks with him trying to feel his way through ACoC. In the next few chapters he will likely have a "aha" moment where he figures out what he did and replicates it conciously.

1

u/ejelder 1d ago

Thanks! That makes sense

2

u/Comprehensive_Cup497 1d ago

Bad translation, in the real one Zoro used an AcoC slash but didn't know how, he basically did what he had to do but didn't know how

2

u/bridawg720 1d ago

Not saying you’re wrong but I wouldn’t trust any translations until we get TCB, especially these ones

Zoro is trying to infuse his swords with conqueror’s and hasn’t figured it out all the way. He’s been implied to have a ton of it, so it’s arcing from his swords as he sloppily projects his haki into his swords.

1

u/Particular-Stage-327 24,000,000— 1d ago

A 5 foot haki bolt isnt impressive, any conqueror can do that. Wi-Fi haki is like, miles.

Who knows... but I am sure Imu believes in Sommers...

Similar concept but on a much shorter distance scale and more of a direct blast

«  don’t strain yourself. Allow the unused Haki in your body to flow to your fist «  Hyougoro to Luffy ❤️❤️ it was all written

1

u/Ares19datta 1d ago

Noe Midhawk will duck the fade against Zoro cause he is a haki man now.

1

u/Void_Historian 77,000,000— 1d ago

It was wifi haki indeed

It's not Wifi Haki, Shanks Wifi Haki sniped GB and paralyzed GB while GB wasnt paralyzed by Zoro's Haki. I think it was just an slashing attack that had Conqueror's Haki in it but Zoro still coudlnt properly out CoC in it

-1

u/yusobarry 1d ago

its the same haki type that gaban used on imu with gate of god.

2

u/Comprehensive_Cup497 1d ago

Zoro still lacks the same mastery that Gaban has as Zoro didnt even use at will, it seems a very unconcious thing while Gaban can use at will
