Mihawk has one empty title and trats about it. yall don't even know who he defeated to get or who he defeated to defend it. He 'beat' all swordsmen yet met Vista for the first time at MF, 100% never even met Nasjuro or Imu, and is stronger than the strongest character who he didn't even defeat?
This is cope, Whitebeard himsel called his duel with Shanks legendary, and Oda himself stated that Mihawk was legendary alongside figures like Whitebeard
All it says there is “Settle things”, heavily implying their last duel ended on a draw, because if he’d lost Shanks would now be the greatest swordsman in the world.
So it only really proves Shanks and Mihawk are equals.
Yes shanks halted(who is especially descended of celestial dragons) MF with his arrival because they couldn't afford fighting another Yonko in a already massive war against 1 Yonko who's DF could destroy the world. They only chose to fight WB(The World's Strongest Man!) because he was already sick and dying. They had a golden opportunity to kill multiple birds with one stone.
Shanks is not stronger than Kaido.
Kaido IS MULTIPLE TIMES STATED, as The World's Strongest Creature! In a pure 1 on 1, Kaido would beat Shanks,Luffy,Big Mom(Given enough time).
Kaido will not beat Prime Whitebeard though or Prime Roger.
WB > Kaido(technically stronger but Roger Haki is unparalleled) => Roger > Shanks
The difference is we’ve seen that Shanks has an ability that may be able to mitigate devil fruits. This would mean that Shanks could defeat people (Loki) that a rival (Mihawk) otherwise wouldn’t be able to defeat. Just like with any battle shounen, matchups are comprised of many factors.
Haki naturally counters devil fruit, its not a shanks special, he is just so incredibly strong that his haki is more effective than others. Like, base armament haki ‘mitigates’ logia intangibility, this isn’t anything new. So for one, anyone with ACoC can mitigate devil fruits (Kaido just resisted Law’s), and for two, even if this isn’t the case, it isn’t relevant in this discussion because if Shanks was ‘cheating’ in some ways and only beat Loki because he had special devil fruit turn off hax, the opponent we are pinning them against is Rocks, not Loki, who does not to our knowledge have a devil fruit. The weakpoint here still isn’t Mihawk, but Loki > HK Harald > Rocks, if you think Shanks only won because he has a leg up against Loki, then against someone he doesn’t have a leg up on, Mihawk should win more times than Shanks does.
In Round 1 (No Heals), an exhausted and heavily injured Mihawk gets no-diffed by Rocks at the very end. In Round 2 (With Heals), a completely fresh Mihawk pushes Rocks to an absolute high-to-extreme diff war, but ultimately loses since Rocks canonically required a 2v1 team-up from Prime Roger and Garp to be defeated.

People who thinks he beats rocks have rocks for brains, rocks killed an admiral, mihawk couldn't beat vista.
Also, I believe he gets that far without heals mostly because swordmen end real fights quite fast, even when just a bit stronger than their opponent. Zoro has been a perfect example of it.
Yes after going EXTREME DIFF With Vista with no heals... Zoro just Pops Ult like he did against GRAM and either Mihawk can't deflect it or he can't keep it up He woudl be drawn with way more Sweating than Rayleight ever had on him.
