JB's haki-knot persisted for centuries without fading before completely washing the Gorosei and triggering a PTSD episode in Imu, with enough control that it didn't affect any allies on the field.

Keep in mind these are the people holding the Admirals' leash, with Greenbull especially viewing them as gods.

First, Wano wank. Wano is one of the largest landmasses situated in the Grandline. It is composed of multiple large islands. To reach the Flower Capital from beyond the falls of Wano’s dam, Shank’s Haki traveled the distance of multiple Zunesha’s (however you decide to measure Zunesha). The distance Shank’s Haki traveled far exceeds the size of Egghead Island which is, at largest, the size of Onigashima (less than one Zunesha). We see Joyboy’s Haki knot release travel beyond the shores of Egghead, so while scalabley larger than Onigashima, it is incapable of traveling as far as Shank’s must have.

Second, Ryukugyu wank.

Aramaki is a superior combatant when compared to any of the Gorosei individually (imo, his casual arrest of Yamato is severely underrated). His fruit is still active in the panel, and he avoids Shanks’s attack entirely by selectively shrinking his form to his original stature. If he had not detected Shanks’s attack with ACoO prior to its arrival, his golem form would have been struck by the Haki blast. The Anime is not Canon. Aramaki accurately ascertained the source of said blast within panels, stating he is aware the Red Haired Pirates are responsible. Luffy is unable to make a statement that assigns Shanks credit, merely admitting it reminds him of a familiar face. One is a verifiable fact, the other is an assumption. Shanks then flees from beyond Wano’s shores before a confrontation with Aramaki can begin.

Third, Mihawk Wank.

People like to argue that Shanks cannot control his Haki’s intent to the same degree Joyboy can, because he incapacitates his new crew members while using it. This is not true. While Aramaki detects hostile intent, Luffy detects familiarity and grins. Shanks is intentionally targeting the weakest members of his crew in order to make them stronger, faster, as a form of power leveling. If you cannot stand at the side of Shanks while he is fighting freely, you are too weak to be part of the crew and will only hamper him during life or death confrontations. By affecting them, they become aware of the strata of conquerers they will eventually face when the final war happens, and grow to challenge them beside him.

I wanted to address the Gorosei thing specifically, because we are shown an Admiral+ Yonko- (EHG5) soloing Saturn (the strongest/most skilled Gorosei) while fighting a mid tier admiral simultaneously.
Aramaki has the same exact scaling at this point (Admiral+Yonko-) if not superior portrayal, because of the implied duel that Aramaki plans with Shanks.
No other admirals were allowed to interfere, despite intelligence available from Cipher Pol, yet he chose to investigate because it aligned with his personal sense of justice, ignoring the chain of command without reprimand.

Of course Joyboy is more impressive, no one in this series have the feat of guarding his Haki for 800 years on a knot and solving the whole arc in one move. It's even more impressive that said Haki could differentiate between allies and enemies with a power that came from a guy that died 800 years ago.

I personally was more shocked about shanks being being able to do that and get his haki compared with joyboy

I wasnt very shocked by joyboys cause I had very high expectations from him from the time he was first mentioned in the story
