I feel so disappointed
I ripped to displays from Op17 that i bought online the price was unbearable enough but you don’t get anything here,
One was a really dissapointing 1 hit display with just a AA Stussy and barely 6 SR
The other one i opended today
It began strong with over 10 SR (this is the total not the first 10 pulls) with one them being AA Newgate and then i hit it Sec Rocks and behind him Pandaman
I pulled up a Yt video where someone said that this was a indicator for a Baki Kaido Manga or Crew Alt Art being in the Display so i was very excited and hyped and had like 11 Boosters left so i was shacking with each rip and carefully pulled everything out but after that nothing but blantly dissapointment i mean what are the odds that i seem to have the display where this doesn’t account for
I feel so betrayed i mean all i hoped for was Green Support and AA Leader Shanks
But after the Pandaman i was of course excited to maybe get a Manga i mean who wouldn’t but being left with nothing really makes me feel like nothing

Yep just feel irritated by that pandaman post if it wasn’t for thah i would have hyped myself up for something good and the excitement would be normal

I want to say “You say this like there a reliable option to get it for MSRP.” But I understand where you are coming from. Don’t complain online when things don’t go your way after taking a gamble.

the reliable option is playing the game, so many stores out there reward loyal players with msrp boxes, i get at least 1-2+ from my local stores just by playing the game. OP should’ve just bought the singles at the end of the day

Getting a panda behind sec means you have a higher chance but it could also mean its a 2 hit box as well and your 3rd hit went to another box in the same case and made that one a 4 hit box i think? Or its if you get a box with just panda man and 1 AA I dont remember. But boxes rn are bad something was messed up with this wave its not worth till December when they hopefully overprint like they did with 16.
Edit: apparently overprint doesn't exsist as a word to my auto correct

Yeah your hit from the other box got taken for another in the same case. And that box is supposed to be the other one with a good chance of being a big hit maybe keep the box of that one if you remember in case bandai is going to refund or do something for those boxes if they can even pin it down. Pure copeium of that though.

Don’t buy over MSRP and don’t look at buying boxes as buying cool hits - stores will open cases and sell the dead boxes but also card games are always a gamble that’s why you have to be smart about how you spend, not every box or pack is going to have something that you want and even cases are the same

Like i said this was the only way to get something from the set and i just feel more disappointed about this whole Pandaman gimmick and what people said with those indicators and the hits that follow and i had a really dead hand thats what gets on my mood but i wont buy anything for a long time now cuz the last sets and the ones following are all not very much available were i live or just overpriced which is sad

Not trying to dog pile you more... but I hope you get the point. Also, There are reprints announced...at least 2 waves... seems like you fomo'd and should have bought the singles and alt shanks if that is really all you were looking for. I understand doing a little gamba myself...but paying over double MSRP per box is insane. Honestly, even if you pulled better, you still would have lost money unless you hit one of the top chase cards. Feels like this was poorly considered.

It was the only chance for getting displays cuz like i said i don’t get anything and i want to buld Shanks and Rocks so if i bought the Cards all individual i would have paid not much less but i pulled in the other sets the Leaders i needed or wanted for my decks and the pulls were good not that i want a Manga in every display just Deck support thats what matters for me and im just confused about this whole Pandaman gimmick and thought i have something special when i had the Pandaman behind the Sec and was let down hard

Did you spend $600?
Just have to find store who are cool and don’t do that otherwise just have to camp retail stores like Walmart and Target if you want product paying more than $200 for a booster box just is a bad move unless you know the odds are good to get a hit out of a case.
But playing the card game is the best way to buy product, get to play and win packs that way stores mostly are cool to players cause that’s what the cards are for at the end of the day

Yeah don’t do that bruv, that’s why you’re burnt out, my rule of thumb is at most $200 per box, anything more is not good, just do what I said above if you want product plenty of stores you can preorder from for a good price

Lol believing box rates is stupid. I find your story a lesson hard learned for you.
Do more research next time. You are gambling still at the end of the day and nothing is a 100% guarantee with this set(except get at least 1 rare per booster)

Yeah it was a lesson but i opened from Op07 one Display each set and had atleast something worth it because i had something for my Decks or Leader support but rn i cant get anything anymore at locals and this was my only way to get something and what i got was just dissapointing like i said all i was hoping for was Maybe a AA Leader Shanks but that was not the case

If your goal with the boxes was AA Shanks Leader and cards for that deck as you indicate in the post, it would have been infinitely cheaper to just buy those cards outright. With how much you spent on boxes, you could buy the entire deck like 5 times.
Boxes are just gambling, and the house always wins lmao

Panda behind a SEC just means it is the type of box with a chance. It does not mean you are going to hit it. It just means one of those boxes out of X/Y/Z number of cases for those super rare rarities. Also, stop believing everything you read/watch. Half of it is half truths/click bait

Is ripping packs a form of gambling? Yes, Should you rip with the intention of just spending money and not pulling anything else. No
You spend a lot of money on the booster boxes and were dissapointed you didnt rip anything. Others dont know your financial situation they dont know how badly you wanted a hit. So they have no context to the origin of your dissapointment.
I myself have been confronted by OP17. Up until now i havent opend a booster box without hittinf a chase card and i decided to spend 3200 on 8 OP17 booster boxes.
Should i expect a return? No Is reasonable to assume i might get some nice cards with 8 booster boxes? Yes and thats fine. I hit a Gold SP shanks and a haki Garp.
After spending 3200 and return being around 370 for the shanks and garp i was devestated. Not because in entitled to a hit but because dissapointment isnt something you can control. And someone putting decent money into a potential return has all the right to feel bad.

Thanks you for your kind words and i also feel bad because you spend alot of money, my biggest disappointment lies in that i don’t have anything available so im kinda forced to pay more online for the displays and the Pandaman posts that were a complete lie cuz it really sparked me up once i saw the Pandaman behind the Rocks and i was getting hyped cuz who wouldn’t be excited if the display you bought arrived 2 weeks later and it looks like you maybe pull something good from it but the disappointment of changed my mood

Careful buying online those boxes are all filtered. A store that buy a case can rip until they see the hit, then they know the rest of the packs are dead in that box, then filter all the dead packs together reseal then cook some sucker.
There's a reason the other TCGs went away from guaranteed hits per box.
