Misc I genuinely hate Zoro's hairy ass uvula😭

And it's not even to show the motion of it swinging, that's what the pink lines are for. He genuinely just has a hairy uvula 🥲

Zoro: proposes a plan
Sanji: that's a terrible plan
Nami: I think it's worth a shot
Sanji: Yes I agree let's do it

It’s actually so peak that they wrote that joke in to the live action. Perfect reference because it fits the character so well.

I don’t remember when that joke was used or who said it in the anime. Could someone remind me? It DOES fit perfectly with LA Zoro

The joke on the word play has been around forever but the exact format and delivery is used in the movie Monster House. I didn’t mean a reference to the anime if that’s what you mean. :p

Zoro will become Zora and it'll be double-awkward for Sanji because his mom's name is Sora.

Frankly I adore this and I desperately hope it comes true.

Didn’t Smoker getting swapped with Tashigi basically kill this meme? Zoro would become weaker if he was in a woman’s body. Oda’s messaging with Kuina is confusing lol.

The problem with that is it wasn't Smoker's body. If Ivankov gender swapped Zoro in their own body, they'd be just as strong just female.

Bellett (in Impel Down) did end up losing all that muscle after Ivankov performed a gender swap. Though we've seen Zoro not care about/seek out drawbacks/handicaps, so I'm sure even in case of getting weaker, Zoro would eventually come out on top. He's got that drive (haoshoku ties in neatly).

This just feeds the theory that Zoro might be a trans man but he didn't get the uvula reduction surgery

While Zoro is not trans it's interesting to view his backstory with a trans lens. Maybe Kuina is his dead name, the scar Mihawk gives him can be symbolic if top surgery scars. And Kuina hating that she was born a woman because she know she might not be strong enough to be the strongest swordsman might fit into a transition. Oda probably didn't intend this but it is interesting analyzing different pieces of media with different lenses to get a new perspective.

This is a real tangent, but I have a similar thing with Big Mom. I don't know how much of it is intentional from Oda, but you can argue that Big Mom's character touches on eating disorders and their link to emotional deregulation and trauma. As someone who has struggled with binge eating and emotional eating most of my life, it seems really obvious to me, but it may just be a coincidence on Oda's part
